    I’ve stumbled across a site with some, for you, boring pictures but they are, IMHO, very good! If you hang in there you may found som less boring pic’s… I’ve haven’t seen any link to it in here so… enjoy your self: http://www.daniel-k.com

    my swedish neighbor, thanks for the link. The pics are of high quality. Unfortunately they don’t save the Gripen from being on the list (although it may push it to #2, and the F-15 to #1). If it makes you feel better, I consider the older Viggen as one of the best looking fighters ever! 😉

    For me all the stealth fighters look boring and robotic, like they were all designed by machines and for machines.

    I love the Hawk as well but one that interests me is the IAR-99 Soim.

    Do they even make a single seat M346? I have seen no reference to it. Would there be any point if you already had for example Gripens or EF-2000 in your inventory?

    sure there would be a point.. if your enemy fielded a fleet of 300 MiG-17’s and perhaps several H-4 Herculese converted into gunships with a twin rail missle launcher.. then you’d havea 30% chance of defeating that horde with an equivelent number of single seat M346 😮

    they would all be shot down if facing an enemy with reasonable defence.

    the Su-28 is not an advance trainer, and the AMX isn’t even a trainer, just the AMX-T.

    thus by default the best advance jet trainer for combat operations would be the L39 or K8 because it’s so damn cheap, it can get shot down and replaced with out denting your wallet too much and leaving you with some sort of training abilities so your young lads can go off in a much more capable aircraft.

    1 – Su-17/20/22 .. a large, nose intake, swinging aircraft just doesn’t look nice
    2 – Lightning – looks like a pregnant MiG-21
    3 – M-4.. good thing the Russki’s didn’t order much of it
    4 – Super Retarded
    5 – the original Harrier
    6 – F-4, Mig-23/27, F-8II. Phantom II loves this particular Vintage, I don’t.
    7 – Buccaneer.. the Brits and Russians sure know how to make ugly planes. especially the former.
    8 – F-104
    9 – Kfir
    10 – Gripen… okay it’s not ugly.. but it’s sure a very boring looking aircraft
