Sounds like a case of the media not understanding aviation language…followed by some of our “Allies” (French, UK, NZ….the typical US haters on this forum) all too willing to believe anything bad about the US….

now that is an insult, as an “ally”, i only believe half of it! I clearly deserve some more recognition compared to the rest of those Europeans, and the sole Russophile kiwi!

oh yeah my friend, that thing is the real deal. Algeria has 50 of them, originally MKK’s for China.. but they paid more and got it first :diablo:

Therefore Norway will sell out its AF in the near future. The money and savings from that will allow much cheaper alcohol there or is it still too cheap there already ?!?!?!

it would certainly be good if it was as cheap as you imply it to be.. 🙁

are you talking about the Finns or the Russkis, because they’re both a bunch of drunktards :dev2:
perhaps the drunken pilot of the Su-27 misread his map and accidentally strayed into Finnish airspace, where the drunken radar operators failed ot notice it in time.

Well, this continuing Russian incursions into the airspace of the peaceful, lovely, yet hideously ugly land of Finland is truly a grave violation of freedom!

perhaps the Fins can now use this to justify the ever growing needs of purchasing the F-18E/F :diablo:

it’ll make the Russki’s think twice 😉

Put 2 squadrons of F-15Ds, and the 4 squadrons of F-16Cs on the island base(ur most advanced aircraft). The tankers and AWACS can fly from the mainland bases due to their long range, and Mig-29s and Mirage-2000s and F-4s might as well be on the mainland too, since i cannot put them on the island base.

this one was pretty dumb if u ask me.

and how exactly are they going to perform the two missions :rolleyes:

Sounds a bit like Kaoru Shintani’s Area 88 😀

YAY some one is finally right!.. Area 88, which spawned two tv series, the recent one being a remake, a comic series, and several video games!

Takes place in a civil war between a fictional N.African country called Arislan which is small and has one air base, and most of the pilots in Area 88 are volunteers or mercs.. the three main one being from the US Navy, Japan, and Denmark who fly the F-14, F-8 and F-20, and the A-4/A-10 respectively. Almost all pilots involved in Area 88 are aces of some sort.

Enemy mostly uses Soviet types and had a ballistic missile submarine, a land carrier among others 😀

What is this Algeria and Morocco?

A land based carrier?

nope! it’s a fictional N.African country, but the aircraft, events, etc are based on something popular with the same setting, which also included a land carrier.

Also the Typhoon here is the sub, not the fighter :dev2:
