    Ja Jaja the man!
I think the biggest problem is fuel capacity, and then range.

Wouldn’t it be faster if the lovely Indianians flew eastward to Alaska instead?

    like say

India to Hanoi.. then Hanoi to Tokyo.. then from Tokyo to Yelizovo in Russia.. then across to Alaska? Arthur should know this one better. Where is the ultimate nederland man?

Japan’s latest attempt is based on the F-14 and will have swing wings, variable engines and the ability to fly into space

The RBE2 has a smaller range than the RDY-2 until the active array is available so, for now, that’s a bad good idea.

has the French ever thought of putting the RDY-2 back in the Rafale’s nose until the AESA is available? I mean the RDY-2 is already better developed and the Miragi can do more things with it. The Bratish, Italins, Spaniards, and Deutsch doing that with the Typhoon.. putting a super Sea Harrier radar in it until AESA comes out

If you guys have the money, you two can come down to where i live. It’s usually winter most of the time and there’s lots of hills. It’s just north of where our very own Viper01, aka Matt Damon jr, lives! Oh yes, Norwegian or Russian is necessary unless you need an interpreter like your very own, Burger King.

Not many problems if you have the cash. Remember, that a lot of F-16 sales ( not all ) are U.S. taxpayer give aways.

When I think of the M2000 or the Rafale, the first thing I want to see is cheap near all weather PGMs. AASM will provide that. I would pick a single seat M2000 and of course it would be one of many platforms in a netcentric environment. AWACs, UAV, UCAV, Ground FACs, etc. There just isn’t much to say. There shouldn’t really be any problems. The very latest weapons on an M2000 and you will be good to go for most things. Remember fuel prices. A single engine jet over time, like the M2000 is cheap to operate. I could care less also about nth degree of turning. That is solved with HOBs / Helmet Heaters.

    velly interesting mr Elp.
but what about the Rafale? do not prefer that? Because it seem the AASM is mainly developped for the Rafale. Also perhaps some country may find the twin engine of the Rafale more important when doing maritime type mission (non carrier).

anyway there is one M2K with RBE2 installed, it is M2K B.105

The Netherlands never had any problems with Mirages. Then again, we never had them so that may explain it. Meybe you mean the Belgians, they had some Mirage IIIs years back.

I remember The Arthur once saideth that the Nederlands was unhappy about something french weapons.. I assume it was the Mirage 😀

    You might hurt yourselves. 😉

especially with some “allies” that end up giving the technology to somewhere else. 😡
