Globalsecurity = John Pike, the same guy FAS. I think there is only one guy behind all that (at least as an editor, but also for a large part as writer) and i personally can’t blame him for putting up more information than wise considering his personal interest or eeper knowledge. Unfortunately, the guy seems to have an incredibly stubborn “if there is smoke, there must be a fire” attitude (pun intended Edison1 🙂 ) so he simply doesn’t listen to most well-ment criticisms. It really took ages before Pike removed the photoshopped Eurofighters from his J-10 pages, or the J-8 from FAS’ Su-15 entry.

But why worry about Pike when there are people around like Carlo Kopp, who use false (or at least highly suspect) information to push an agenda of arms racing?

Yes, those Chechen terrorists are a really immense threat to Yorkshire. I think it’s absolutely disgusting and self-centered to take the tragedy in Beslan, and turn it into provincial “We have problems with Muslems here too, you know” rants. Talk about insensitive, and selfishness.

I think it is a display of narrow-mindedness to the extreme that you can’t look upon the happenings in Beslan without thinking that what happened there is similar to an unhappily drawn border somewhere in South Asia, or a scratch on a car in northern England you suspect an asylum seeker to be the culprit form. At best, it’s a totally blurred perspective, and at worst it is total disregard for the suffering of the children and people of Beslan just to satisfy your own xenophobia. Trying to convince yourself of your delusions by simply declaring them ‘truth’ won’t help convincing others much, i might add.
