Very nice pics Camaro. I really like the one with the Fitter on eye-level, making me wish i was there… And thanks for the heads-up that the Fitters and Tucanos are flying again. Things are improving again then.

Yes it did. Quite a few units got to fly the -27K (all of which were Irkutsk-build), the 559 APIB at Finsterwalde and 911 APIB at Brand being two in Germany. There were more inside the Soviet Union of course.

Here is the final flightline of the 559 APIB, the day of the withdrawal back to Russia in 1993.

Horseradish? That’s something i put on any meat sandwich. That is, since i’ve gotten this whole horseradish root without knowing what to do with it – but grated on a ham sandwich it’s delicious. And keeps your breath fresh 😀

As for chips, i prefer them belgian-style with sauce andaluse or that spicy sauce they’ve got.

Still waiting for the reruns though…

I don’t know that poster, but i can imagine it being oh so nice…

Mind you, while i am sad the A-7 was retired early from ANG service, i’m not so sure if i would have enjoyed the sight of the A-7F. There simply is something wrong with stretching a SLUF. That S is supposed to mean Short, not Stretched.
At least if they had given it a pointy nose, it would have looked an awful lot like it’s gunfighting predecessor.

Don’t overestimate Peru. The Fitters, Hinds, Canberras, Tucanos and very likely the Mirage Vs are all grounded. I dug up some info from recent trip reports to Peru in a thread a while back

I think the only drawback on serious spotting trips through the PRC is that it’s still impossible to drive a car as a Westerner. Very unfortunate, since all ‘recon missions’ to China that i know of have shown it quite a doable country…

There is of course still the moped option 🙂

I had a discussion with it with Tom Cooper quite some time ago, and back then we weren’t all too sure if there weren’t any ful monty MiG-27s delivered during the Gulf War. Hence my uncertainty. Of course, at least the bulk were MiG-23BNs.

I can now proudly say that my lovely golden brown wide-tyred furry-seats Ford Sierra is in my posession for over 15 months, making it my all time record with one car. My first one, a 1987 Fiat Ritmo 1100 lasted for 14 months, a 1991 Citroen BX lasted about five, and i drove a 1987 205 1.1 for some eight or nine months before selling it to the scrapman for the same price i had bought it for.

I don’t understand why i usually end up with 1987 cars though. Matter of fact, the non-1987 one was the worst of all, with a torn engine block (well, partly because i drove 210 kph with it i guess).
