    Good one Niels!
Do you happen to have any info on which F-16 mistook that truck for a lawn?

…and it all ends with the carrier you’ve all just flooded coming under attack of a full regiment of Tu-22K’s.

Tu-16Korvets will drop life rafts for the survivors.

Put it in front of ‘yer old steam engine, and it would be a nice starter for a Mother of all Battles between train- and planespotters.

Actually, what i disliked most about Revolutions was that it was so terribly overproduced but poor in balance. Rightfully bash me for sounding like a snob, but i thought ythat whole highway chase was simply pushing it – spectaculair as it was, i got the impression they milked every second of footage out of that sequence, with nowhere near the same intensity in the rest of the film.

Also, i have to agree with Garry that in no small part the original Matrix’ appeal was the eerie world in which it took place, which was even more eerie because it was only marginally explained. With Reloaded giving the first bits of explanation, this mystique for me is largely gone (except for the role of Neo – but who cares about Ted Theodore Logan Esq anyway?). What is left is some interesting flic about a future world where machines have taken over – some Terminator 5328 if you wish.

Oh, and since i’m sounding like a grumpy old git anyway: no matter how brilliant the LotR trilogy is, i still prefer Peter Jackson’s older work 😀

Good! Then you must be the right person to ask: i have been getting interested in North African music after hearing some stuff by Khaled, and especially Rachid Taha (of course Barra Barra from the Blackhawk Down soundtrack). Are there any other artists or particular songs you can recommend? I particularly like Taha’s mixture of North-African music and more European anarcho-punk stuff. I will owe you one!

As for my own taste… well, it’s varied. Pixies, old Metallica, some old school hiphop (when rappers were still nice guys), 1980s indie pop/rock, Jacques Brel, currently playing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto…

It’s a nice thread to re-emerge every few months though.

I thought reloaded was a big dissapointment… hope they do better with revolutions. I did like some of the anime in Behind the Matrix a lot though.
