The Air-Britain published an excellent book on the Comet by Martin Painter which should also provides data on such incidents.

If they haven’t done so already an email to the Airfields Research Group may be worth a try. https://www.airfieldresearchgroup.org.uk/about/our-history.

G-ISEH C182R was blown over during a storm in March 2016 and badly damaged and now looks rather forlorn in the line up of withdrawn aircraft at North Weald. Ownership may have passed to the insurance company but it may be worth a try contacting its last registered owner, he has replaced it with another C182R G-BKKP.

The IL76 was RA76950, it arrived as VDA4789. Its departure was initially delayed due to fog at BUD, but then it went tech so stayed longer than anticipated.

Bob003 is taken from the area approximately where the Jet Heritage (Gnats) hangar is at North Weald. The hangar in the background is used by a transport/storage company. Some of the distinctive line of tress were only felled last year.
Bob015 is taken from the roof of the HM Treasury/Cabinet Office building at 1 Horse Guards Road. Attached is a shot taken last winter from one of the towers seen in the BoB photo.

Just a quick reminder to all those interested in North Weald , that next weekend NW will be hosting the 36th Air-Britain Vintage & Classic Fly-In, which is supporting the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust. No airshow as such, but there will be plenty of opportunities to see and photograph a wide variety of aircraft. All aircraft welcome alongside our featured types:

All welcome
ABPIC is up and running again, the technical support supplier failed to respond to the problem, until it was escalated to the “top of the office” when it was then fixed promptly.
The slow running issue is being addressed by Air-Britain, but this will take longer to fix. The number of images on ABPIC is well over 400,000 and the application, now several years old, was never designed for such volumes, so alternative, affordable options are being considered. Please also remember Air-Britain is run by a small number of volunteers so instant remedies are not always possible.

If you read the link on post 1 http://ww1aviationheritagetrust.co.uk/ it tells you how these aircraft will be linked with activities at Stow Maries

Ebay is showing the Mojave Dove N11XW as sold. Anyone know where it might be going?.
Also when at Mojave in 2009 N4916V was stored dismantled, another potential restoration project, is it still there?

Great to see these images, I was fortunate to be shown Stan Smith’s aircraft by Stan when I visited NZ in 2009.
If you have not seen it I can recommend the Air-Britain publication On the wings of a Gull which has histories of all the Percival aircraft and a good selection photos of Proctors in NZ too.

I never got a chance to say hello personally on Saturday, so many thanks for bringing the Falcon. Thanks also to all those who visited by air or road, I hope you enjoyed the event.
Over the weekend we had 110 visitors, which was pleasing given the poor weather both mornings. Together with the activities of the local residents this resulted in about 380 movements. I was pleased by variety of vintage and classic types, as shown from Yakriders pictures, and we want to build on this again next year.
I look forward to seeing over the summer when I am back arm-waving in orange.
