    Beautiful but unlucky bird…:(

It would be nice to revive the project instead of spending the old and less capable platforms…

what platform are you referring to.. the Su-35? hard to revive the project since Pak-Fa seems to be doing well.

Portugal is broke and has been for decades.. it would benefit them if they joined Brasil and become one of their states.

First off, don’t quote a lot of pictures. Second, my google point still stands, it is obvious you need some help from it.

obviously you didn’t google it yourself.

The Ka-62 is designed for passenger and cargo transportation, medevac and search and rescue operations.

aside from SAR its mainly a civilian helicopter.

The militants claim that more than a dozen military personnel were killed in the attack and that 3 JF-17 fighters were destroyed..

the PAF maintains that only 1 soldier was killed and 1 officer injured in the attack and 1 aircraft (JF-17?) was damaged

What is the actual tally of deaths and aircraft damaged or destroyed?

    link

will China buy Pakistan new JF-17 replacements?

…and the infamous incident on September 13th 1987 with the Norwegian P-3C? Well after 25 years 😮 we can put a name and face to the guy who provided the first close up views of the Su-27 FLANKER B (and how!!)- I was aged 11! :p

Senior Lieutenant Vassily Tsimbal (старший лейтенант Василий Цимбал).

The damage to his Su-27 tail fin upon collision with the ‘Orion’s’ propeller (above right):

Here is the P-3’s ‘intercept’ marking (the aircraft was rebranded ’38’ after the incident):

Very sadly Vassily was killed in a flood in 2003, here’s to you Sir! A true icon.

Wang Wei wished he was flying an Su-27 instead of these

Why don’t you go back to the F-35 thread and cry about people not fawning all over that flying barrel?

flying barrels are not all bad, this one did pretty well in Africa

I hope you aren’t directing this at me…

Clearly BVR missiles are not wonder weapons, but that hardly lends validity to Amiga’s skepticism as to the viability of BVR combat.

Iran used BVR combat in many instnaces against the Iraqis with their F-14 and phoenix.

    http://www.airspacemag.com/military-aviation/persiancats.html

The first kill by an F-14 was scored even before the Iran-Iraq war officially began. On September 7, 1980, an Iraqi Mil Mi-25 Hind helicopter (an export version of the Soviet Mi-24 attack helicopter) was shot down with a 20-mm Vulcan cannon. Just six days later, the first AIM-54 kill followed: Major Mohammad-Rez Attaie shot down an Iraqi MiG-21 while he was patrolling an area over which Iraqi reconnaissance aircraft had been especially active in previous days.

Pak-fa would destroy the F-35 in the air
F-35 would destroy the Pak-fa while its parked on the tarmac
