Sorry, I don’t have details. But some friends are still in service, I’ll try to find some info.

    Thanks!
Speaking of Chinese sales in Latin America, there were a lot of fanboys cheering the MBT-2000 sale to Peru a few months ago, and in the end the Peruvian army was also disappointed with the product and opted for other options.

We have chinese planes too, K-8 and Y-8, to be honest chinese support makes the russians look good, and speaking about chinese engines, we have lost two K-8W due to engine failures, so I’m not a fan of them either.

About J-10, all that I know is that the air force evaluated the plane and didn’t like it.

do you have more details on the evaluation?
also agree on the K-8, why didn’t Venezuela buy Yak-130s. They probably would’ve gotten a few by now.

Wasn’t Bird of Prey (apart from being the coolest thing to take to the air for like ever) built to test dorsal intakes for Boeings UAV programmes?

its a bit amazing that thing could even fly!

congrats to Typhoons for bagging Oman.

the X-32’s intake is more or less similar, so how did they resolve the issue?

i didnt say italy should buy gripens, i said it could be cheaper than buy more Typhoons (or F-35 for that matter).

I don’t mind buying Gripens :diablo:

Chinese fighter would be good for Serbia
it is cheaper and newer. mig29m or whatever it is called now is an upgrade of a 1970s design but j10 is a late 1990 design! over 20 year differences!!!!
also eventually j31 will be available and it will outclass everything in europe.

politically better too.. china can offer more money and assistance and china understand serbia feelings during serbian war the best.. chinese embassy is bombed too. russia like to say they are brothers but russian do not look like serbia and theyre involvement in the serbian war is more opportunist than real interest.

serbian look like italians but russians are kind of half european half mongolian like yelsin.

china offers very little for serbia.
china is traditionally a supporter of serbia’s greatest enemy. Alb.

do you take requests? can you do:

    1. Mirage 2000 with canards where the strakes are
    2. Eurofighter Typhoon with canards removed further back like the Rafale
    3. MiG-29 and Su-27 with intakes on the side instead of under the fuesalage

In the USAF T-X contest, the horse race appears to be between the T-50 and surprisingly the BAE Hawk, with the M-346 having no strong sales point and not even a decent US partner. Northrop is partnering with BAE, while Boeing is pitching its own T-X model, leaving Alenia Aermacchi to bid without a US partner.

    .

    source?

however I wouldn’t be surprised if the T-50 won.. it’s mostly an American jet.

All the help it can get (well, at least the crane has excellent transonic performance).

LOL, as expected, this bird just an export oriented product, no way an ongoing PLA project will be showcased in public.

thanks for pointing out what has been said for years.
