How much do you think the MOD would be selling a used Tonka F3 for anyway? I recon no more than £5 million. I mean they are only going to scrap anyway. Last time i went to the scrappers he only offered me £50 for my 1ton car. Maybe £25,000 for a tonka F3.

I have heard the F3 is good at interceptor role and isn’t too bad a fighter either.

I reckon there is a lot of flexibility with the airframe you could fit racks on the fuselage easily enough. The F3 is longer than the GR4 so they could fit 4 skyflash underneath. I think it also holds more fuel.

Say you put 2 big tanks under the fuselage and another 1 and buddy pack on wing i would think it could escort 1 GR4 top it up ans still get home. Could the wing take 3 tanks and a buddy pack. I think it would need re-plumbing but would it be possible?
With the tanker i’m not really sure it’s worth it or if there is much demand for that in the RAF.

The escort Jammer is probably the best bet. I think with 1 or 2 ECM pods maybe from the Growler/Prowler (unless it’s cheaper to build our own) under the fuselage or wing and a couple of tanks if needed and you would still have room for a couple of ALARMS on the wing. Maybe double racks could take it to 4?
If you could change it to Reconnaissance from jammer easily it would be a valuable asset. maybe as simple as take off the Centre line and stick on RAPTOR Pod.

I just think that the Airframe can’t be knackered as they aren’t that old so if we had funds:( the RAF could of done something with them. If they are only getting 150 odd Eurofighters then maybe there would be tasks for them.
