    undercarriage geometry

There were big fundermental differences with angles of ”toe-in” and ”negative camber” in the design ; the upshot being the settings on the 109 were more pronounced and thereby less forgiving…….lift one wing too soon before the other caught up and the whole plane took a sharp turn off piste (with or without full rudder).

NB :Not to be confused with pilot error involving ill-anticipation of ”snatch-roll” as the leading edge slats engaged one before the other.

    Combat in suspense ?

Although I have posted it on the forum before, here is an ORIGINAL typed Combat Report for the same day, the same action and the same squadron.

The bottom of this combat report reads :
    ”I decided to attack…../PTO ”

As I have now read the first part ; I am now in suspense as to the next page !
Any chance of the concluding part please ?

    Thanks in advance……:)

As ‘Tangmere 1940’ says Johnnny Kent never looped the J when he signed as either John or Johnny.

    I hope this is helpful

With reference to the above postings, I’m glad at least some agree with me ……..!?
Gentlemen, let’s remind ourselves of the cost – was it £40 or £45 million ?

I too visited end of Summer this year – first impressions – for sure the issue of no fresh air inside had still not been addressed.
    Second impression : dis-jointed and a total sham !
Third impression : where’s the attraction or appeal gone ie. for all new-comers ?

Never mind, probably a nice little fee ‘earner’ for all the high profile consultants involved though……….
