Aah – the Sea Fury display at the ’75 Airshow and what a spectacle complete with vapour trails as it climbed steeply straight above the hangars !

Ironically, Bristol already had the sleeve valve technology but due to a conflict of interest etc. were not very forthcoming until govt. intervention to liaise direct in the way of specialist metallurgy and the like………:rolleyes:
