I’d actually like to see more Vepr or Bars being built. But well i guess Yasen must have her way now :3
and here we go again….
i sense another S-duck mess incoming…
Would be good for UAV. But i have doubt as practical combat aircraft.
As far as i know such configuration will greatly reduce volume, useful volume for fuel and weapons.
Samara has started to produce NK-32 engines. These should be used in An-124, and not Tu-160 as article states.
So no afterburner and increased fan size ?
No new designation assigned for that variant ?
How did USA get away with supplying Tomahawks and Tridents to UK?
Are there different rules for US vs other countries?
It’s dated back in 1950’s
It began with this :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1958_US%E2%80%93UK_Mutual_Defence_Agreement
and then British wants the Skybolts but then this happened
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nassau_Agreement#Skybolt_Crisis
So British Nuclear deterrent shifted toward submarine nuclear launched missile capability. The US then agreed to share about 5% of Trident development to British and supply the missile and the missile compartment for the British SSBN’s.
This occurred far before MTCR.
Indian blog has published product brochure on export variant of S-400.
This is so informative. and it’s great to see 92N6 got boost in computing and power aperture product. Older version can only track 6 targets, but this one is 10. Range improvements looks good compared to older 30N6E (200 km in range)
hmm and while we’re at MTCR subject… i heard the US also wants to sell JASSM and this thing have similar range as Storm Shadow.
Will US “play” similar game as EU ? reduce the payload and keep the 900k+ range of the system ?

I wonder why other nations like Russia didn’t do the same…Sometime ago..Russia offered Kh-22 for export with both reduced warhead and reduced range. Russia can just sell Kh-55 with 450 kg warhead and retain its 2500-3000 Km range and call it category 2.

I was reading the above and the new light weight cannon piqued my interest and was curious if it could be scaled up or modified for naval purposes? would a ETC cannon barrel be doable on a destroyer?
They’re certainly viable and can be used for naval purpose.
Regarding ETC tho.. it’s very complicated, and may not warrant any advantage over increasing gun caliber for both naval or army purpose. Better go for full fledged EM Railgun if very high velocity is desired.
Syrian MiG-29 with R-77 :
Whoa great. So we know that Syria finally accept their batch of newer SMT.
http://russianforces.org/blog/2016/09/success_reported_in_salvo_bula.shtml
Huh, so the recent Bulava salvo was not a failure, but a success. That is good news, would have been time for some hard questions otherwise.
yay.. finally a trident equivalent for Russia :3
reminds me of “Super Avro Arrow” :3
All these dem Media report.. Guess everyone happy right to see US and Russia goes into war ? and i see Russia and Syria is not as trigger happy as those in Ankara, DC, Riyadh & Allies co and their respective terrorists puppets in Syria.
Doubt any US or allies aircraft would be shoot down. Painted maybe but nothing launched.
