The AEW&C program (biz jet based, S Band, 300km class for a small fighter target) is in trials. Follow on program is in development.
An airborne AESA radar for the LCA is in prototyping.
Would love to hear some more about those programs.
The airborne AESA for fighter one looks interesting. So India will directly leap to AESA instead of having some “interims” (slotted planar arrays or PESA’s) Like Other nation.
God pls give me a chance to see/watch vid on PAKFA releasing ordnance, especially from internal bay. Ameen.
hmm so far i seen India developing planes, engines and A2A missiles. How about airborne radar ? Does India ever develop a fighter or AEW radar ?
Well.. i think the final B-2 concept was exactly like that before changed to B-2 as we know right now.
Anyway i wonder if anyone can give me little bit info on what radar did China put inside their J-11 family ?
As far as i know.. the earliest J-11B were using a slotted planar array called as “Shedian-10” I wonder if that slotted planar array radar also make it to the J-15, J-16 etc.
Anyway i believe J-11D got an ESA radar, would love to know more about it.
At least they have something interesting on there, unlike certain other holes-of-the-web where everything is garbage (like RussiaDefense). BTW, Paralay’s isn’t nearly as nationalistic as F-16.net IMO.
c’mon man can you forgive them 😀 ?

Other than that.. hmm i’m curious if PAKFA will mount any form of say..internal self protection jammer.
High speed taxi test …
Just like when PAKFA exhibited at first time… I scream… FLYYYYY… FLYYYY
Yes , given the lesser dimension you can put Two R-77 in the tunnel instead of the single row R-27.
Still we are talking about the two hardpoint under the engine pods.
I’ll wait until they introduce KAB-250kr hoping for a triple mount, like the one used by French.
im thinking of 3 R-77 with fins folded.. Thus total 6 in that “tunnel” .. 3 at front pylon and another 3 at rear.

So how’s the airstrikes so far ?
Hmm it appears that FSA does not agree with ceasefire agreement if Nusra group is not included.
My conclusion is that FSA have weakened so much that they need to rely on Nusra to do their fight.
We know nothing at all about PakFa.
Nothing on empty weight, thrust or lift/drag.With that lack of transpherent insight the PakFa must be pretty horrible… according to these guys;

I just wish …when assessing stuff.. ppl can be more like Richard D Ward.
https://www.scribd.com/doc/298950019/FIGHTER-DESIGN-From-Soviet-Perspective
while some ppl behave as he wrote at the last section of the paper..
“Some quarters
have questioned the viability of this concept because
of the apparent support complexity of modern weapons
however, Soviet aircraft and their support systems have
always been designed to achieve this capability. The
question is in assumptions of the questioner. The problem
is possibly in demanding “mirror images”“
Anyway that AIAA paper is like a gold bar to me 😀 it’s nice to finally found one a paper that outlines how doctrine and situations affect fighter aircraft design.
It’s kind of annoying to see that 384 m/s… it fueled some flame wars in my FB group.
Would love to calculate it myself.. but then i have nothing on weight info of PAKFA.
well looking at those jammer pods brought me to an old question..does it support Crosseye jamming modes ?
Ah.. Iran-Iraqi air war.
Well the only thing i’m interested in is that..is Iraq really have Kh-22 ? The only source of this is Tom Cooper…and only in literature.. No photos, no physical evidence.. nothing. My correspondence with Flateric of secretprojects and in other forum also yield that Iraqis does not possess Kh-22.
sometime ago.. i tried to stick Hellduck into YF-23A form.

Hmm how Tu-214R works ? is that a pure ELINT/SIGINT platform as RC-135 or did it also double as ground battlefield management like E-8 JSTARS ?
anything released yet on weight statement 😀 ? I’m still curious on the empty (operation empty weight) weight of PAKFA.
I wonder if they managed to make it lighter than Su-27S.
