At least I don’t pollute threads except in response to crap from the likes of you that I just can’t resist. I’m here more for give/take with news and pictures, in which I certainly contribute more than you, who will only post negative sh1t on the RuN. I have high hopes for you too. đŸ˜€

Yes you do. You never post anything of worth.

You are the expert at trolling and bashing this thread.

Of course the Russian Sovs are junk, and the PLAN ones are good, and the US Burkes are the best. đŸ˜€

One day you will contribute something to this forum………one day.

That’s quite a bunch of accusations. Directed at someone who’s not ever been edited, reprimanded or so much as warned by management. Unlike some people we know.

    All accusations are true.

Calling a conflict where over 250 servicepeople dies and 7 ships were sunk along countless others damaged shows your arrogance and cavalier attitude.

I think you like the sound of your own voice….newsflash, not a lot of others do.

No it shows my knowledge of the inherent nature of warfare as a product of base human conflict in sharp contrast to your strange and confused notion that just because casualties occur it must be difficult. I can only assume that you think war is a harmless exercise that only results in death and destruction when something goes horribly wrong.

To steal one of your childish phrases……newsflash: it is not.

Tell that to the crews of the following ships:

    HMS Sheffield
    HMS Ardent
    HMS Antelope
    HMS Coventry
    RFA Sir Galahad
    RFA Sir Tristram
    MV Atlantic Conveyor

Tell that to the families of the 258 Uk Servicemen killed.

    What a disrespectful comment.

Are you confused about the nature of war? You are aware that it involves killing people and destroying things right? And that those who participate in it are fully aware of that fact?

Reality is not disrespectful………..ignorance of the sort you just posted is.

No, you can’t because you didn’t.

And according to you not relevant to the discussion about the Russian navy is e.g the remark by Snake65 on CDF: “This sounds more like problems with boilers not the steam turbine and it sounds very familiar with problems of SU Navie’s Sovremennys during the years of decline (after 1990) when boilers were ruined mainly due to inadequate preparation of water and poor maintenance. At least the repaired Sovs in RuNavy (4 of them IMHO) have not reported boiler problems anymore.”

Yes I did, you just delivberately choose to ignore what I type and then lie about it because your only interest is in trashing this thread.

Oh and thanks for posting a comment that agrees with everything that I have said.:p

So, you have NOT said: “Interestingly the Chinese ships also rarely make it far from Chinese waters.”?

Could you qoute those 5 times please?

I dont need to, they are all in the posts above for everybody to see, not to mention this is a Russian navy thread that you now seem bent on trashing.

You are saying this is not about the PLAN Sovr’s then?

Like I have said about five times.

How can I be warping something you said when I’ve not even referred to anything you’ve said? Suggest you reread the sequence of post 278-279. Pls.

You clearly srtated that I had mentioned Chinese Sovremmenys: This is completely untrue.

Here is news footage (at the bottom) of the ‘demonstration’:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/beds/bucks/herts/7936485.stm

I think it is noteworthy that in an ethnically diverse town with a population of over 200,000 the organisers managed to muster ten, or possibly eleven, placard-waving demonstrators.

Absolutely nothing needs to be said or done about this demonstration…..well, exercise…..of free speech.

    Get a grip people. đŸ™‚

What is very pleasing is seeing the reaction of the people who had truned out to support the servicemen to these animals.

I asked 3 questions for the discussion:
    1. Do the Chinese have trouble with theirs [Sovremenny’s]? If not, why not?
    2. Speaking of GTU powered vessels, how are the remaining Krivak’s (3?) doing in this respect [powerplant reliability, long cruises]?
    3. Different question: if you subject a Sovrmenny and a Udaloy to the same poorly trained personnel, lack of maintenance and low funding, will power plant performance /reliability deteriorate to the same extent? If not, which plant is more vulnerable?

How exactly does that warp anything? Are you perhaps taking things a little to personal, taking questions as an attacks? We are not required to have or to arrive at the same opinions and conclusions. When we do not agree (as is inevitable given a diverse membership), or view things differently, or have different interests, is it the gentlemenly thing to accuse the other of trolling or flaming (rather than to say e.g. that you don’t follow what the other is saying, or don’t quite see it that way)?

Have you followed the link to CDF? Do some of the points made there not contradict your statements about PLAN and (some) Russian Sovr’s states. Would you care to comment substantively on that?

OMG You are still warping what I said and making things up, I never said anything about PLAN Sovremmennys! This proves that you are trolling!

Sure, whatever. As usual, it has nothing to do with you and everything with me.

Well you are the one who chose to deliberately warp what I was saying despite my repeated clarifications.

Agree, but that’s not what the discussion was about.

That is exactly what the discussion was about: However you deliberately tried to warp it in order to start some sort of flame war.

Figures never prove a damn thing, especially when facing conscripts, the duration of the conflict was far longer than expected, so long in fact that all the ships in the task force needed a major refit on return, every single one of the commanders have gone on the record as saying it was touch and go and it was only the resolve of the forces on the ground which won the day

Yes they do. Of course the ships needed a refit……they are ships.

War is by its ver nature hard and it is relativity that determines how hard.
