As you can see from the above photo of the Su-33 (taken at MAKS last year) – there were lots of Chinese gentlemen showing a lot of interest in it.

Make of that what you will…… :diablo:

    Ken

Well the motivation/money for the Su-33UB (which was supposedly test flown with the Zhuk-MSFE……..and which country has previously been interested in Zhuk equipped Flankers?;) ) came from somewhere.;)

? I think the guy asked about whether Kosovo would get an air force, not the rights and wrongs of independence.

Balkan’s threads have a bit of history here.;)

Given that the west has taken to guaranteeing Kosovo’s security there is absolutely no need or likelyhood of any Kosovan air force for a very long time. You might see a see a couple of helos bought/donated for paramilitary police forces at somepoint but nothing more.

If this is Druzhny then take a look at her in google earth: http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/placemarks/968528-Moscow.kmz In the river outside Moscow! Probably planned preserved and converted into museum. You have an old Tango submarine down the river as well.
http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/3694102.jpg Here you have an image of her linked in google earth.

I think thats it, thanks for links, Rav3n, given the ships age I would be very surprised if she is being returned to service.

If you are to be taken seriously as well, you need to provide sources against my ideas then. If you have nothing concrete, too bad. #1 FAN BOY!!

You have been shot down by multiple posters time and again and provided nothing to defend yourself, you will get far more respect here if you just admit you were wrong rather than persisting with this nonsense. Like I said, the US has a death star.

The Kh-101 derived Kh-65 that Global Security mentions is not a Kh-65 but a Kh-SD, again no evidence of it having flown let alone having entered service. Furthermore there is every reason to suspect that it has no (or highly limited) AShM capability based on the fact that there was a dedicated AShM version of the Kh-65 (Kh-65SE), you have been told all of this before.

    You should check this out:

    http://www.amazon.com/Space-Wars-First-Hours-World/dp/0765313790

Very interesting read. It is formatted like a novel, but it is basically an example of the power of nonkinetic and unconventional warfare.

    Its just been ordered………..thanks SOC.;)

You still fail to prove that the Russians can not modify their equipment on short notice in case it is needed. I say you are delusional. And talking about fan boys, like I said, you LEAD the US “fan boys” here.

I dont need to prove they cant, you are the one claiming they can and if you want to be taken seriously you have to provide evidence to back it up. We have been through this lesson several times, I can claim that the US has a death star, you can not disprove it (after all its an uber secret weapon that only certain people know about) therefore it must exist. A claim without support is just a theory, there is nothing wrong with theories if you say that is what they are but it is wrong to present them as fact as you insist on doing. The reason you do this is that you are a fan boy.

    ¿New ships?: “754” (86 photos)

    http://photofile.es/users/iriska2204/3481422/?page=1

¿”Stereguci”? (sorry for my bad russian) 14 photos.

    http://photofile.es/users/carpenco/3471078/

    Regards from Spain.

    Krivak, a reconstruction/rebuild I assume.

Thats actually a pretty good series of photos. It is interesting that there does seem to be a slight bias towards ASW is the ships that are getting this attention. It would be interesting to know whether there are any system upgrades and if so to what extent?

It is of course worth mentioning that the youngest Krivak II hull is now 25 years old.

Edit: Closer inspection leads me to believe this is the Druzhny which would make her a Krivak I and 33 years old! That is a pretty old hull (especially given what has happened to much younger Russian navy units) and one has to wonder whether she really is being refitted or sent for scrap, the upper works certainly look a mess……..anyone have any details?

Was the shot similar in profile to an ABM kill? Not exactly. But it did prove the viability of the AEGIS system as a dual-role ABM/ASAT weapon system.

And thats the one. There are a very select group of countries that are playing around with very high end strategic weapon systems and this thing is at the highest end. Russia and the US are leading the field (to be expected) with India and China doing everything they can to catch up (and eventually they will), unfortunately Europe is used to having the US provide its strategic security so they are not playing the game. This does not have to be nuclear but it is indicative of where great power military interaction is heading in the coming decades. It is my personal opinion that we are not that far from an integrated air/space and AD/ABM/ASAT battle space/system.

My somewhat controversial opinion on this is that if (and it is a very big if) any of what I call the big four (India, US, China, Russia) end up going to war with each other it will be about economic deconstruction through non chemical, biological and nuclear military means. By that I mean conventional weapons but extremely high tech, information based and long ranged, probably in a time frame counted in hours.

Pavel is just a guy. What he says does not mean anything more than what you or I say. He is not Russian military at the moment. That’s what count. You are like a broken record. Worse maybe. You are the US fan boy club LEADER on this forum. So like I said, discredit my suggestions with anything credible. You can’t. Keep going. I’m awaiting the same reply for the 10th time. Your spelling just proves you are an idiot. Period.

Again, where are your sources, the answer is simple, you have none becouse what you want to believe is just pure fantasy you are a fan boy.

The fact that you resort to insults and criticism of spelling just goes to show how absolutely flawed your ability to engage in discussion is. Now, once again, where are your sources? And in case you had forgotten everything is produced by individuals so I dont quite know what you were aiming at with that but it just undermined you even further.

Do we know what the modifications to the missile were? Will the bigger motor on the upcoming SM-3 models improve the weapons ASAT capability at all?

As for why they did it, well thats an open secret, the message is simple to China in paticular. If you want to play in the big boys playground you have to understand who the biggest boy is.:diablo:

Prove it can’t carry it. Fan boy! You failed every time.

Prove the Russian CAN’T re-arm their Kh-55s into Kh-65s on a short notice.

Prove they can’t produce the Kh-41 if necessary within short notice.

Check the spelling of the word “because” while you are at it.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tu-95

Basic source. Bottom. Stats for MS model. Kh-22 can be carried.

Also, what about the Tu-142 which is maritime optimized.

I find it hilarious you are still so worked out about these possible weapons systems when they are the least of the worries of any US fleet unlucky enough to be fired upon by Russian AShMs.

Secondly, prove Pavel’s godly log is correct, and every one of 50+ Tu-95K22s is already scrap metal. Come on, you are so smart! Surely this is a simple task.

Again, where are your sources, (wikipedia does not count, for obvious reasons) that is all that is asked of you but you can not provide them, the reason being that you have none and this is all just the wet dream of a fan boy. The fact that you have resorted to critisising spelling is demonstrative of how weak your argument is and low your credibility has now fallen.

I have told you to go an ask Pavel but you have not, the reason is simple………………you know what the answer will be and your fan boy pride will not let you hear it.

There is no doubt about it, SM-3 is an epic missile and it provides the USA/USN with a capability that others can only dream about…………..now just wait for them to put that 21inch motor on it! :diablo:

I’m not even going to bother pointing you towards the evidence again since your head is so far up your rear end you have no logical reasoning whatsoever. The “evidence” you have means little. That is all. You haven’t even explained why Tu-95MS variant couldn’t possibly be used to carry Kh-22s.

That is becouse you have no evidence, if you had some you would provide it, the same apllies to the MS carrying Kh-22. Just provide some evidence, that is all I have asked of you and you have failed every time. This is all becouse you are a fan boy.

I want the same that the PR guys at Lock Mart were drinking when they came up with this brochure. :diablo:

It´s a Block 60… It uses the same radar, the same engine, the cockpit his a carbon copy of the “Desert Falcon”, etc…

But it has a sexy new tail fin which means it is obviously the greatest feat of engineering in the history of mankind!:D
