There is a reason nobody posts actually interesting news here, and 90% of the interesting posters left.
Forum technical issues and drivel like the RCS analysis on the last page.
It’s like constantly popping into the F-35 thread and pointing out LM messed up because the F-35 has a giant array of protrusions, angles and curvatures n the bottom, and is in fact less stealhty than the flat bottomed Su-47 to ground radars lol.
I came out of retirement to remind you that Scooter knows much better than both you and UAC engineers. That is all. Goodbye.
Kh-22 size missile or Type-65 torpedo should do the trick. Nuclear warhead completely optional.
RVV-MD has a maximum firing range (front hemi-sphere) of about 40km, that is quite similar to IRIS-T, ASRAAM, Python-5 or AIM-9X
AFAIK the Russian IR missiles of the R-73 family have always enjoyed a range advantage over their counterparts. Might be less so with the latest models, but definitely with the older models. Sometimes double the range.
He did say that the Su-34 would be as hard to detect as a cruise missile.. He did not specify the RCS, it could me via massive ECM for what we know..

This is what I was referring to when I mentioned the Su-34 in RCS reductions to “mig-31bm”
Original release was on RIA Novosti (News)
Su-35S will enjoy altitude ( missiles range ) and radar power over F-16 but it is unlikely that it will be able to attack without warning ,after all it is a big aircraft with big RCS
You’ve been told on numerous occasions here, and accurately so, that the Su-35S and Su-27 baseline aircraft do NOT have comparable RCS. The Su-35 and Su-34 have gone through airframe modifications and other fixes to reduce RCS.
Probably less than 400km. There is really little point in subsonic anti-ship missiles with ranges of hundreds of kilometres. Flight time is so long that unless they get constant input of good quality targeting data, they aren’t going to hit anything.
Once the Pion-NKS components of the Liana reconnaissance system are online, they are going to get just that.
Not only- the Dagestan frigate also has UKSK modules for Kalibr.

Also- wtf? Tu-160?
Yes, with MoD official photo of flight deck:

aircraft like Su-24 would not survive operating from unmaintained, half-wrecked air bases covered with dust and debris.
Say what? You do realize that the Su-24 is indeed by design made to be operated from poorly maintained front-line airfields, right?
949A with some very rarely seen weapons nearby.
SS-N-16 and SS-N-19 in tube?
???
photoshop right?!.. or i’m totally confused tonight :very_drunk:
No man, it’s the real deal. The Russians have “rough field” ready jets, of course, so they just take up all the runway space as luxury parking and land *next to* the runways. :eagerness:
Any word on SAMs being set up?
What did they bring in terms of ground hardware (specifically)?

How about the KAB-250 – has it been procured yet?
It’s not exactly tiny, but at least a “little” less destructive than a KAB-1500 😉
UAV (pretty much literally).
Da, da!
“Bes-Pelotniy Letatelniy Apparat” – “Pilotless Flying Apparatus”
Apparently there are 58 operational MiG-31BM (and BSM) to date, including several experimental airframes.
Source?
What I really wonder is when they will get upgraded weapons as well. 😐
It went poof because it went out of control and some arrogant people got just a little bit offensive. Hopefully we won’t be seeing web pages upon web pages of obscure Russian patents that don’t really tell us an awful lot.
For the record – the presentation of patents and related factual material is far more interesting than hearing a bunch of blatantly biased deadbeats attempts to discuss things which they they know little or nothing about.
And given that there’s a dedicated Russian forum now available on the web – I don’t know why the good posters even bother with this place or mp.net.
