    The Kh-15/AS-16 is a hypersonic cruise missile, so hypersonic isn’t anything special really, unless it’s going to have a range of like 3,000Km 😀

    And why do you say Ulyanovsk is/was a joke? Obviously now even the hull has been sold off, but it wasn’t necessarily a bad idea, was it?

    Why? The Kuznetsov can carry about 2 dozen Flankers, decent to support a task force against air attack for a while (perhaps until more support arrives from base).

    Uhh, the Russians could do it. They’ve got over 150 bombers for it, plus all the tactical aircraft.

    The Su-39’s payload (weight) matches that of the A-10, but, I think the A-10s payload is rather limited compared to even the Su-25 (which can carry overall less weight than the A-10, but when the does A-10 really leave fully loaded?). (ARMs, Various ASMs)

    Comparing payloads (weapons) of the A-10 to the Su-39 is a joke. The Su-39 can carry upto 6 Kh-31s (AS-17)… and more… that’s pretty damn good!

    Kuznetsov shouldn’t be sold! Ur crazy man 😛

    That battery of Shipwrecks/Granits makes it stay for sure. Just get those Su-33s to Su-33M status and fill up the airwing with Mi-28s and Su-33Ms, and some EW copters, and it’ll be all good 🙂

    They shoulda built the Ulyanovsk 🙁
