    yea this is kinda cheesy… u dont give condolensces to every person that dies.. and what makes 4 pilots so special? (apart from maybe there’s pilot wannabes here.. that would explain it.. )

    that’s all fine. in overall potential the UK is a piece of little crap compared to russia in the economic area.

    CIA quoated #’s:

    “UK: $1.666 trillion (2003 est.) growth: 2.2% “
    “Russia: $1.282 trillion (2003 est.) growth: 7.3% “

    russian GDP has actually risen 30% since the early 90s. please correct me if im wrong.

    fromt ~800 billion to ~1.2 trillion… growing @ 7.3% that’s pretty good. (CIA info)

    can someone give the names of the russian radar designations?

    with these details:

    1) Original Carrier (old radars) or Slated for Production (new radars)
    2) Company (NIIP or NIIR)
    3) Designations (like with those N-xxx and Zhuk or something [both])

    aren’t the russian special forces getting Ka-52s?

    i don’t know about this “drum noise” crap but ejector seats and Vikhr-M missiles make the MI-28Ns look like sub-par machines.

    Vympel where are you getting this information?

    Isn’t the Mig-29S the Fulcrum-C, the main in-service Mig-29 with the VVS.

    AFAIK (globalsecurity and warfare.ru), 150-180 of these machines are being upgraded to Mig-29SMT status.

    What exactly of the Su-27SM (compared to the baseline Flanker)??

    http://warfare.ru states that 60 or so of the Su-39 machines have been delivered to the VVS.

    What is the Platypus? Su-32FN?
    the Fullback is the Su-34?

    difference being the Su-32FN is optimized for Maritime-strike?

    http://warfare.ru states that deliveries of the Su-34 have begun since December 2003 when the Russian Ministry of Defense accepted the aircraft for its uses.

    Also, over the last 3 years I believe flying hours for pilots have doubled and are still increasing, though still short of the “NATO Standard”

    So the Russians aren’t going to use the Ka-50/52s? The Mi-28 feels like a subpar machines compared to the Kamovs.

    That information seems a little on the dated side, anyone else have anything?
