main issues are that ‘potato mashers’ tech left at Kiev’s ‘Artyom’
plus they are not as good at high AoA as it was thought initially
Then why the hell use them on the RVV-SD?
RVV-BD is there for long range for now.
Nice eye, didn’t even notice it.
Looks like a KAB to me though.
Da! Da! It is a KAB series – circular front for TV seeker.

On another note – I find something rather odd:
So this semi-official rumor of the Su-34 in Georgia in ’08…
Supposedly it was the ‘hero coming to save the day’ … destroying the Georgian radar system that was helping find other RuAF assets. The Su-34 jammed the radar, and took it out (with a Kh-31Px?)?
The odd thing is.. why in the hell would a simply Su-24M not suffice? Equipped with Kh-58U missiles, it should have easily found the radar if it was emitting at stand-off range.
So what’s the deal? Terrain made stand-off attack impossible?
Su-24M jammer crap and couldn’t get it there safely?
Su-34 jammer is amazing and got it right up to the site for an anti-radiation shot?
Someone want to fill in the details please? ๐

She looks like a stretched Akula like this – certainly the design’s roots are clear! ๐
How can you even tell which is the original photo?
Contrast up, down.. different resolutions..

It was from the other side.
But Estrada confirmed the AESA is designed to detect targets with small radar cross sections.
“I don’t know the specifics with the T-50,” Estrada says, “but I will tell you that this
-(V)3 radar is very capable of detecting low-RCS platforms”.(i’m guessing all AESA radars is very capable of detecting low-RCS platforms”, if they got any size innit)
Russia has said the same of the Irbis PESA…
3. The killbox for any active missile against the F-22 will be MUCH smaller than for the AMRAAM headed your way.
So it seems the simpler, straightforward way to beating the F-22/F-35/other stealth fighters is jamming the AIM-120x/AAM variants into useless flying metal rods at close range.

What a LOL-grade.
Polnoya figna ๐
OK, let’s suppose the Su-35S has an ESM that can detect the F-22’s APG-77 radar at long ranges. What would be tactical implications?
The Su-35 could engage using some form of weapon that doesn’t involve it using its own radar? Or run away should that not be possible? Or jam the F-22’s radar and attempt to engage? Who knows..
So where the hell are the rest of the MAKS 2011 videos and photos?!
From forum people…
Why do they put the T-50 so quickly in the airshow? From the display, nothing impressive or extraordinary.
Only two conclusions here: you are retarded, or are pretending to be to further some personal agenda.
In case it is the former, then the brief explanation is as follows:
Sukhoi is obviously not going to put two airframes early in testing through the most intense maneuvering. On the other hand, see the Su-35S display – and think of that the PAK-FA will do in 2 years from today. That’s all sir.
More like F-22/F-35 hybrid, at cheaper prices.
Anything less than 2 medium range missiles per pay is simply idiocy.
Given the amount of effort being put in this aircraft, I’d except every option to be in the table…
Custom missile ejectors that stack 2 missiles VERTICALLY?
That bay can’t be that shallow.
