    2400 F-35s was planned for what – 2040 or 2050?

    You can expect this though: cuts cuts cuts. Like just about every program we hear about on the news.

    The US economy is slow as hell, government spending is being diminished to curb the debt ceiling.

    If the US acquires a total of 1000 F-35s by 2030, that would be an achievement. 2400 is a sick joke.

    Its not personal really for that I have to be an American and all the PAK FA fan boys have to be Russians.

    I just find that the F 35 gets a lot of stick most of it unreasonable from the Europeans & Russians especially.

    And I know that in the next 20-25 years the F 35 is going to make most of you look really silly when it knocks over Russian fifth/4++ gens over during an American military adventure somewhere.

    As for the PAK FA as my country is investing billions into it I want it to do well and be competitive against the J 20, which I think it will be.

    Any Russian adventure against some measly Euro country will result in Su-35s ‘knocking’ F-35s, Eurocanards, and anything that moves really. Its a moot point. Lets see how balsy the US is to try something against Russia itself.

    And for the record, the hate against the F-35 does not come from any Russians whatsoever. They frankly don’t give a rat’s ass about it.

    Yes the pencil drawings will be ready in the 20s. The rest will be scrapped soon after due to funding shortfalls. 😀

    Russians comparing Su35S with F 15 – Yawn, Americans had their next gen F 22 operational a decade before the Su 35s, F 22 is faster, as agile, and can do anything the Su 35 can do on an airshow as well.

    By the time Russians come up with PAK FA Americans would have a sixth gen up their sleeve.

    Yes yes it is quite a ‘yawn’ – given 4th gen aircraft, the F-15 is a ‘yawn’ compared to the Flanker.

    By the time that the US finished funding generation 6, they will be defaulting on their federal debt. LOL. 😀
