When the Soviet Union collapsed during the early 1990s, it possessed the largest and most dense IADS globally, equipped with some of the most advanced and longest ranging Surface to Air Missile (SAM) systems in existence. Despite its depth, density and enormous geographical extent, this IADS was readily penetrated by the US Air Forceβs F-117A Nighthawk stealth fighter, which was specifically built to defeat this system. The B-2A Spirit stealth bomber, at that stage in advanced development, was also designed to penetrate this IADS and its then planned successors with virtual impunity.”
The only sketchy and non-analytical part of that article is that LOL!
So the Americans invaded Russia? π

Apparently ~ 5000 times π (the F 117 flew ~ 5000 war sorties in 1991 and after, and only one was shot)…
The trick is to know the direction of the enemmy radar and to tailor the trajectory so to offer the lowest RCS. See in the attachement the F 22 central MFD.
What a bloody brilliant idea! The enemy are dunces and have their mobile, modern SAM systems in just one spot and glued to the ground!

And I don’t think also they will adopt new technologies which they are developing for the fifth generation aircraft to this prototype. In my opinion this aircarft at first stage will use su 35BM technologies with a new airframe. But they will test the aerodynamic structure of the aircarft and the Radar cross section.
You are confused. The Su-35BM is testing 5th gen technologies – specifically the avionics that combine main sensor systems.
The PAK-FA will fly using without Al-41 engines for sure, no word on the radar yet. It will likely have MOST of the other avionics, however.

I think it’s impossible to make this aircarft’s first flight at a very important event like Maks 2009 or Avaition day.Because if there happens a problem about the aircraft it creates a big disaster for the manufacturer.Fo this reason before maks or aviation day they will have to the flight tests with this aircarft.
They can do this without telling anyone. The only way we’ll know is if someone at the test site actually snaps photos of the thing.

But take a look at power plant section:
“Production version to use 175 kN (39,240 lb st) AL-41F with FADEC and TVC, according to some sources”.What do you think of this one, is the Su-34 Production version likely to come with the AL-41F?
It is undoubtly easier to install the upcoming AL-41F on the Su-34, size wise..And when will the AL-41F be ready?
2010 or 2011 I think, since the PAK-FA this year will use the 117S for its premier flight.

Yeah, the Russians had to design a propelled cucumber for it to be a good design. Kinda like a flying saucer for the PAK-FA. I guess speculation is opinion, but until we get information of the design, I think it’s hopeless to even bother.
The sub was said to have latest silencing features / higher sonar evasion capability and pump-jet propulsion.
Iraq is stable.
I stopped reading right there.

Do you really believe a Mig-35 could match a F-16 Block 50/60 weapon for weapon? Regardless, I am not going to start that debate here………If, you want to prove your point. Start a new thread over at “Missiles and Munitions” part of AFM Forum. I am sure you could spend hours debating the issue. You’ll loose but it would be lively. Hey, maybe you want to break them down by class???
Note: I am not saying Russia doesn’t have some excellent munitions. Just the Western World has a far greater selection.
Sounds like a perfect place to debate right here. You start. I mean you are going to win and are so confident of it!
You are out of touch with reality, which is what settles real world decisions.
