“The U.S. military believes all seven people aboard a CH-46 helicopter that crashed in Iraq on Wednesday were killed, and indications are that it was not hit by hostile fire, a senior U.S. defense official said.

The U.S. official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was still under way, said the helicopter went down between Baghdad and Fallujah and that the crash appeared to have been related to mechanical problems.

The helicopter was operated by Marines, and other Marine aircraft were in visual contact at the time it went down, the U.S. official said.”

Soviets haven’t been defeated in Aghanistan, heck. I tell you what, the U.S is scared like a growling dog, to fight in North Korea again. North Korea would test and test and test nuclear weapons and the U.S can’t do a thing about it,except to yell, yell, and yell.
The whole world is watching how North Korea has been sticking its jab into America’s face time and again, What could America do?,as the world’s only self-styled military superpower?
The Soviets did what you are also doing in Iraq at the moment-quargmire, if you pack and run you are defeated, the U.S would pack and run as early as 2010.At least the Soviets held on a little bit longer.

First Of All, North Korea didnt even detonate a Nuke. There is more evidence to support that they failed then succeeded. France has came out and offically said the test was a failure, Now today U.S offically said the test was a fizzle. Germany, Norway, and South Korea, and Australia support these facts by saying the seismic activity was way too small to be a nuclear device.

Second.. Im sure the world’s only superpower is real scared of N.K’s Starving Army of Conscripts.

Third. The U.S are in Afghanistan Just like the Soviets, But one thing the soviets were not in was Iraq at the same time. And still the U.S has managed to keep Casualty levels among the troops very very very low.

Who cares if the soviets stayed in afghanistan longer, What does that prove? That it took them 8+ years to figure out they were getting their A** kicked. Or Do they all of a sudden get cool points for staying longer?

But the thing about the U.S in Vietnam and Iraq, and The Soviet Union In Afghanistan, is Both Nations Armies were never designed to fight that Kind of war. The one thing the U.S, and the Soviet Union were good at was fighting other Conventional Army’s. Not Insurgency.

The U.S would love for N.K to make a fatal mistake of challenging its Conventional Forces, There is no kind of war that the U.S Loves, and Is really good at then that.

First Of all, There has been no Confirmation that North Korea has even tested a nuke. Right Now the world is just kind of going on their word that they did.

South Korea’s geological institute estimated the force of the explosion to be equivalent to 550 tons of TNT, far smaller than the two nuclear bombs the U.S. dropped on Japan in World War II.

The head of South Korea’s spy agency said the blast was equal to less than 1,000 tons of TNT, the South Korean Yonhap news agency reported.

France’s atomic energy commission similarly estimated the blast measured at around 1 kiloton or less — equivalent to the explosive force of 1,000 tons of TNT.

Ivanov said it was far more powerful, equivalent to 5,000 to 15,000 tons of TNT.

Second… How would North Korea even deploy the bomb?.. Its quite a different story to weaponize a nuclear device.

Third most are saying .5 kiloton, that is very small indeed. That is nothing to kick up a fuss about.

News reports, It was not a nuclear Test. The Seismic activity was not large enough, although there was some Seismic activity around the same time as the “Claimed” Test.

Hold on one sec!! Been watchin the news on this and the white house has issued a statement saying they have so far not been able to confirm North Korean Claims even happend.

Lets not jump to conclusions, There are many Variable’s here.

Me personally I dont think it even happend, I think its just a cry for attention. And think it should be ignored.

Well, its certainly true. You cant defeat USA. But you can succesfully defend against it. Thats for sure.

Perhaps… North Vietnam did it with their style of warfare. But I have a feeling Iran will be just like Iraq. 100 hours of war, Iran will surrender and America will have only lost 100 people.

You cant defeat the U.S, It is impossible. And russia is no longer a superpower, They cant even afford to pay their pilots anymore. And most of their aircraft have not recieved spare parts in decades. And china will not do anything against the u.s since they are not a superpower either, China needs the U.S more then the U.S needs them. China’s eco relies on the U.S outsourcing too much. And china is not willing to risk this on a Dumpster Like Iran.

once again it’s called”Double Standard” US allow Israel to own 200+ warhead even south africa at one point to own atomic weapon with US appoved

Does Isreal threaten to nuke other countries with them?? Have they ever called out for and I quote “A nation to be wiped off the Map”. Nope they have not, Isreal has proved that it is worthy and responsible enough to have such weapons. In the 1970’s, Their country was on the verge of total defeat before they even thought of using the nuclear option. That is the way it should be, And South Africa has givin up its Nuclear weapons due to U.S pressure. So How could you say that U.S “Approved”?? Read up on the topic first, then post.

and by that definition it is borderline ignorance. A strong opinion on a subject one has a vague understanding or interest on.

lol… There is many subject on politics that I dont know about. I dont understand the systems behind a goverment but if you had any common sense whatsoever… Then you would know that most people can comment on what is right and wrong. If anybody has a basic understand of history they know about Goverment and Politics to some degree.

Dont accuse me of knowing more about politics then what I actually say…. Dude If I say I dont, Then I dont! But I do know what is right and wrong in the world. Therfor I can comment on what ever I want. If you have no ground to debate me on the topic at hand then dont get so low as to try to insult me personally.

You should stop posting unless you have something to say that is on topic. If not dont post at all. And your answer “A strong opinion on a subject one has a vague understanding or interest on”.. That is a opinion and not a fact so we can all dismiss that as a post from sombody that has as much ignorance as you.

Just because your not strongly into a subject does not mean you cant have a strong opinion about it…

Example: I hate hippies. Im not into what they believe in, but I hate them. That is strong enough.
