Latest Air Forces monthly has a Rafale update.
It claims EC 1/7 (Air Force) will receive AM39 Exocet in the near future and add a further role – TASMO (Tactical Support to Maritime Operations, in this case antishipping). This is after 12F (Navy) takes the missile into service. AM39 is currently undergoing trials with navy.
Can anyone confirm EC 1/7 with Exocet?
The February Air International has an article on the Russian Mistral plans. They are to have higher hanger ceiling and be equipped with Ka-52MD (anyone, anyone?) and refurbished Ka-29.

From WAPJ Volume 30:
IDS
Batch 1 (used by training and trials only): Mk101 downrated to 8093 lbs as they regularly flew clean.
Batch 2: RAF went with Mk101 downrated from 8992 lbs to 8700 lbs (original ratings said to be 8090 and 15950 lbs – probably refers to Batch 1)
Batch 3: Mk101 – later fitted with Mk103.
Batch 4 on: Mk103 rated at 9650 and 16900 lbs
German ECR had Mk105 (with ‘10%’ additional thrust). German Tornado a/c were fitted with digital engine controls from late 1980s (also deliveres as such as Batch 5 a/c).
Mk103B was proposed for Tornado GR4 – 16076 lbs and 12% lower running costs
WAPJ 31
ADV prototypes and F2 had MK103 engines, rated at 9656 and 16920 lbs
F3 had digitally controlled Mk104 with 10% increase in thrust. Given as 9105 and 16523 lbs (less than Mk103?)
F3 deploying to Saudi Arabia in 1990 were given a Combat Boost (5% due to increased engine temperatures).
