Finally a maintenance estimates that does sound more realistic compared to the gripen which makes the rafale more competitive.
of course Rafale operation and maintainance costs will be high. its a twin engine aircraft while brazil has a long history of using single engined ones.
If they wanted cheap operation they should stick to Gripen.
I,v allways liked the Mirage 2000.
the single seater looks quite rude..
its the twin that looks the best

That is a Crusader. I think you meant to say X-32, rather than X-35. It resembles both the Corsair and Crusader. I liked this pic because it showed the Y-rack. The same rack was mountable on either side with the rail assembly adjusted accordingly. One side angled upwards while the drogue side angled downwards to keep it from obstructing a2a refueling.
hmm yes Indeed, I meant F-8 Crusader and the X-32 being the modern day equivelant. Surely you must love the X-32 as well
that approach is near failure. it worked when aircrafts were simple and have low life span with low agility.
how is aerodynamics of Su-35 known?. just two things looking similar does not mean they will behave similar. more powerfull engines can give alot more energy to missile shot from platform. (missiles will need its own rocket technology and material science not some import depended).
and since engines are not imported. there is no point in disclosing actual thrusts for domestic variantsf for Flankers. India scientific contribution to Su-35 and PAK-FA is practically zero at this point.
Gripen demo can supercruise, perhaps faster than the Su-35.. it can launch those missiles with more energy. Only difference is Su-35 can carry more missiles and at a farther range.
It doesn’t matter heavier or larger but T/Wr, since the development you called, the rate of weight for F-16/52/60 grows much faster than MiG-29/35 so that deterioration on either T/Wr and Wing Load for F-16 newest version is much serious than MiG-29/35.
The total thrust for MiG-35 reaches 17 ton, but weight stay at 11 ton.
The newest powerplant gives a less 13 ton thrust for F-16 but its weight approach to 9 ton.
A almost 9 ton for weight of F-16 deteriorates the WL of F-16 also.
And here is external payload for MiG-35. what makes you think MIG-29M2 will be unable to carry big weapons while the inboard pylon occupied?
yes we have seen many models of mig variants before and its very easy to sling whatever weapons you want on a model. Real life is different because it takes years of software integration. Look at meteor.. or especially look how long it took India to fully get all the SU-30MKI’s weapon systems fully operational.. like the MiG-29.. there were a ton of models, mock ups, and actual aircraft with dummy weapons to show off its “POTENTIAL” but it took much longer to actually integrate the system. Secondly is the range issue.. such a load out leaves almost no room for a fuel tank except for the center pylon. If its going to do serious air to ground work then it would need at least two or perhaps 3.

not the most impressive load out, but one that’s actually real and used.
Ironside :
Good points . We all say the same …
Cheers .
sorry to hear that your airline didn’t work and that your cousin airline in Russia is also not working out
if you like the corsair, why dont you like the X-35? its basically a 5th gen corsair
Yeah I am part Russian, so i might actually be more Russian than him hehe.
4 links to super computers, and they have absolutely nothing to do with anything in here, fascinating.
who cares if JSR is Russian or not..
(he’s actually Jewish he once said)
so if the Pilatus provides basic training and the Hawks advance, then how does the HJT-36 come in..or did that go the way of the Kaveri and Arjun mk1?
If you move on, its because youre design at the moment isnt competent enough to be refined to fit the future requirements.
indeed, the Russians know the MiG-29 and Su-27 can’t meet future threats forever so they moved on to the Pak-fa
Do we even know JSR is Russian?
indeed, most “Russian” fanboys are actually not Russian.
even some of the “Chinabots” are not Chinese.. PLA-MKII is from Bangladesh and Goldendragon is Pakistani.
its fine, people can like whatever plane they like.
Gripen design based on similar concept to Lavi/J-10. there is nothing more in Gripen that cannot be in those designs. and those design is no longer pursued in Russia.
yes you can create it. see boeing technical research and boeing design center in russia. the largest outside US for Boeing. there is nothing innovative or special about Sweden.
SAAB materials is so advance that Boeing is using vsmpo avisma
you have to understand that any thing developed by commitee will slow down the upgrades and more likely to be compromised. for example French try to sell Meteor equiped fighter to India or some Arab countries. those customers will get indepth study of weopon system.
I have plenty of search Sweden has import dependence. it can develop some parts but whole system high doubt considering the budget limitation.when your production rate is low for few hand built aircraft. it is convenient to claim overbooked.
This is ur opinion not a fact. Every has to be tailored to specific purpose. Those used in Academic research are more likely to be different than industrial use.
quit stating the obvious.. the Gripen is a 1980’s design, of course Russia has moved on.
Just looked same time xD, Can a Mod merge the topics???
you are right, its a tie. should we split the prize?
Would you like to elaborate on this thread name?
BTW I already started a part V
mines was first.
