Does Turkey have AIM 9x operational ?

Turkey operates further from its bases and have a plane that has inferior range and fuel capacity. It is not just about AMRAAM and all that. Turkish F 16s will much less time at station to do their work while IDF F 16/F 15s will have more. Israelis may go after the Turkish Mid Air Refuellers for example further limiting their options.

at least 1 sqn is operational with AIM-9X….
THK operatin further from Base?hmm depends on where the dogfight will occure!
this all theoretical…but i guess syria would have no problem allowing turkish F-16 to refuell….the problem is that both air forces won´t dare to attack the soil of each other,neverever,point!
in todays time, i still think that the AMMRAAM is playin a decisive role,because if i was a pilot and i had the AIM-120 i would use this first before i switch to other weapons or tactics…..

2xtimes bigger air force?don´t think so,THK has over 200 F-16 and further 30 on order with the older Blocks commonly beeing modernized to Block 50+ standard and over 50 modernized Phantoms,uninteresting for A-A….
but still,yes the F-15 is superior to F-16 but both use AMRAAM and both would use them at max range….and yes Python V is superduper,but AIM-9X is also good….
i get the impression that everyone thinks,if there is a doghfight it will end for the IAF like the US Navy had 66 years ago in Philippine Sea and it will be “great Turkey shootin´time…..”
I again repeat,the times of israeli F-15/F-16 shooting down inexperienced flown MiG-21/23 are long over

Python 5 is superior to any short range AAM in the Turkish Arsenal.

yes i know,but i don´t think that the AIM-9X is so much inferior and the THK had many exercices with the IAF,so both forces know each other very well,while the THK has weekly exercies with the HAF over the Aegean, the IAF lacks any real combat experience in A-A in the past years, only mudmoving mission against low value targets in urban areas(except for the attack on the syrian nuclear plant)
the times when israeli F-15/F-16 were fighting with MiG-21/23 flown by inexperienced pilots are long over….
so again what makes you think that the IAF is superior to THK?i really like to know

so the IAF is superior in A-A?!and why is that?
i mean both air forces have AMRAAm and the israelis have also Derby,but have they a greater range then the AIM-120,or do you think they will end up in a dogfight?the F15 has greater range yes,but if it locks on turkish F-16 the RWR will warn him,i mean both sides will use the max range of their weapon,so why is the IAF superior?
just my 2 cents now….;)
since 2006 the IDF didn´t show much proffesinalism in military operation when you consider what they achieved through out all the years in the past.
i have the impression that those forces in the last operations were all rookies or they were planned by rookies….it´s not anymore the highly proffessinall force i always admired!
