Nice set, I have some pretty identical 😀 was it you with the 7D with a 100/400 bolted on the front ?
🙂
Thanks for your comments – back to situation normal know though – cloud, wind & rain 😡
Thanks 🙂
They were all taken from the southside of the airport, there is a pathway that stretches along the entire length of 05R / 23L – and the bonus is that the sun (when we get it) is behind you until after lunch as well 🙂
Without doubt the best thread on here in a long time IMHO 🙂
Thanks for the memories 😀
Another couple.
1.
2. Early 90’s.
Cheers
Russ
David,
Thanks for correction on the Air UK – you’re probably correct about the DL too, I have lost all my logs from my early days so it probably is the early 90’s – going off the Air Belgium & Air Sweden 737’s as well. 🙂
Russ.
Thanks again chaps.
As T5 says it was a wee dig at the AVP’s new pricing structure… really bloody expensive for us non MAN folk who would visit it and stay the day.
The prices they’re charging now are ridiculous, be interesting to see how they fare during the lean winter months when all their custom (mostly) is spotters & photographers – get yourself Southside 🙂
Steve / Rob,
Thanks for your comments chaps.
Russ.
And dont forget London Oxford Airport……..:confused:
The Delta “Skyteam” B757

Russ.
Thanks for the replies folks 🙂
The KLM Skyteam was joined by a Delta 757 also in Skyteam colours – nice to get 2 in the same morning 😀
Just goes to Show that You don’t Need a Really Expensive Kit to take great shot’s!!
Nice one
Rob
🙂
Cheers Rob, I’ve been working at the airport during the World Cup, usually use a 40D with 70-200L, but didn’t want to draw too much attention inside the terminal so got myself the S90 – I’ve been suitably impressed with it so far, will be using it more next week – so may post a few more shots 😀
The Titan 757 was towed into Air Livery on Friday morning so could be getting the full orange treatment 🙂
Nice catch on the KISS tour bus – missed the movement at Ringway, but made it to the gig last night – one word – AWESOME !! :D:D
Grey Area….hope you dont mind me adding this one to your thread 🙂
No pics of the control tower? It’s the oldest working control tower in the world!
I like Barton, often head over there after a day at Ringway 😀

Nice capture on the EL AL – I know where I would rather spend my lunchtimes, and its not Tesco !
