Yup, 056 is definitely (fully?) RAMed up. Probably accounts for that strange cyan sheen already seen on some parts of 055R, in addition to the light grey edge treatments on the inlet lips and some other edges.

It is something to note that on T-50-6-2 even on the part of the hatch that doesn’t have the thick RAM covering the screws are still treated

just noticed this picture of 056, it seems they cheated us again ;), the yellow hatched area is not treated with RAM, I guess the whole spine is not as well. You can easily see there fasteners holding the composite skin. The thick layer of RAM is under the greyish-white looking top coat, but they seem to use several shades. Some are having a cyan tint, probably to distinguish where RAM has been applied. Have someone noticed it already?

Can’t read that, but i would guess it is a pump to get the fuel from the wetbag onto/into the jet engines

look here and imagine why is there(fuel tank) an APU exhaust hole.

    I like it 🙂
And its nice to see they can produce promo vids without all the BS.

well, Flanker is a looker, more than the T-50, at least to me. 😀

Those panel are coming off many times for these Prototypes.
Why stick RAM coating where you have to remove it the day after..?

I think those panels never been off before on all prototypes. With the T-50 b/n 056 they`ve made them removable and space behind them is occupied for the first time. The lateral AESA panel is surely made of radar transparent GRFP, as has always been since the T-50-1, therefore no RAM paint there.:)
The access panel behind probably holds required electronics aggregates for the first time as well and its surface should be painted with RAM, unless we see better detailed photos.
Check these pictures, unpainted and painted T-50-4 and compare to the b/n 056, tell me the difference regarding panels we are talking about?

Also note that all countersink rivet rows on the T-50-4 front fuselage section is nicely visible even after they`ve applied the splinter camo. On the b/n 056 all these things disappeared due to a layer of RAM, several tenths of millimeter thick.

thanks for those anecdotes, very interesting :D, aluminium alloy В-95 has been used in soviet aviation industry since 50-ies, such as the Mig-21, Su-7, …etc. Hard to believe they`ve used the same materials even on the T-50 first prototype , I thought VIAM was closely cooperating with the Knaapo and delivering new advanced materials for the PAK-FA structure. For comparison MAPO Mig has been using Al-Li alloys (e.g. 1420) in the MiG-29M fuselage structure since 1985.

Berkut, why don’t you enlighten us as to what the B-1461 alloy is for?

Martinez, would you like me to show you what *progress* they’ve made?

Hi buddy, sorry for my sarcasm.:very_drunk:
BTW. alloy B-1461 mainly for frames, ribs, stringers, other structures where loads and stresses are high, fuselage, wings, stabs, tails, also skin, geez but engine cowlings? Even if I said it before that cowlings were made from aluminium alloys, I still think it should be a temporary solution……

yeaaaah, that is what I call “progress”, sixth prototype and finally they`ve get rid of a small piece of Ti cowlings on engines, but who knows what material these new ones are made of. Why not making it from one piece anyway? Check those various fasteners spacings surely done by hand like on some stable door.:D a bit disappointing though.

    .

hopefully, they are not checking angular deviations and distortions for the T-50 windshield the same way(camera to windshield position) as shown in that video???….:)

I`ve read that Angola will get those ex-Indian Su-30 in the end of this year, beginning 2017. During our visit in 558 ARZ Baranovichi, Belarus we have seen some Su-30K aircrafts parked on the overhaul facility field.

Your FANA pics put me to shame..lol. Buddy !! I really mean it.

I’m so serious since It’s getting hard to find new FANA stuffs from fb.

please do not compete my friend and keep posting unseen pictures, that is I like on this thread. Some more from Angola, Catumbela.
