How about the Czech air force? Didn’t they receive some Mi-35s as payment for unpaid debts from Russia? The Czechs would keep them in good condition as well, I’d say.

In the recent Czech MOD white book is recommended to phase out/sold all attack Mi-24V/35 helicopters as soon as possible. Blaming them for low balistic protection, obsolete avionics, zero interoperability with NATO systems, not fitting into country defense planning strategies and already starded to bid some old ones. Slovaks grounded the rest of the Mi-24 fleet in november 2011 and looking for buyers as well. Anyway, would be nice to see them flying again somewhere in Africa or else. 🙂

    Is that an F-15E?
If so, i think its from MAKS 2011.
USAF was there with F-15E, great stuff.:)

The ‘Vigilance skies’ exercise did not see any F-15, only F-16.

I think Flankers did visit US years ago(90s).
If its an F-15C, its gotto to be a pretty old photo.

picture is from mid nineties, Lipetsk AFB, a reciprocity visit, USAF jocks got their asses kicked again.

New paintjob, sure, but I don’t know if that’s a new aircraft. It looks old.

well, new paint job, but look at the b/n 41, already starts to disappear:) . Not wise to stick self-adhesive vinyl to matt finish anyway.

    btw. overhauled hippo

I don’t think its a good idea to send a very expensive test aircraft (with equipment) to the museum or trash, when compare with you can send it back to factory for the modifications, even partially fired aircrafts goes to factory for a whole repair work

He was being sarcastic I think, if it is economically feasible, they will repair it of course. If not there is still a lot of space on zhukovsky airfield where the empty airframe shell can catch rust. Would like to see the 51 in the air again, just to prove PiBu wrong.:)

Oh you know the plane I’m talking about was one of the two alert Fulcrums, so it aws the real weapon load out 😉

Interesting, but sad there is not a photo backing that up, but I believe you. There were various upgrades of the 9.13 weapon system throughout the service life in the VVS, so in the end they could have been capable to fire missile combos, something once known with the Mig-23 as well(R-23R+R-23T). Is it possible to post a better detailed photo below in order to read that stenciled text underlined with red? thanks

Martinez, this pictures was taken from the same documentary in 2002 but I can’t say if it’s the same Fulcrum, but I can confime that I already see with my own eyes such configuration on two Mig-29S here

Ok, thanks, anyway could it be that it was some kind of weapons load-out demonstration and not a real working config? Can you check that with someone working on Algerian Migs?

All this pictures was taken after 2000, but this one was taken before 1994

    http://i62.servimg.com/u/f62/13/82/11/29/untitl10.jpg

martinez, it was a combo R-27T and R-27R in the other side with two R60M for dogfight, the idea was to launch both R-27 on the same target to have more hit chances

Hello FULCRUM, any chance you post a picture of this izd. 9.13 with visible both missiles under wings, the R-27T & R-27R combo is something unbelievable for those knowing the baseline 9.12A only…;)

    thanks in advance

    Grey Su-25SM

Now, what is Airwolf saying about MiG-29M 747 in the comments ?:eek:Google translate doesn’t make any sense!

All I find dumb on this camo is using a tape to create the hard-edge between grey and baby blue color, especially in the middle of wing leading edge. The worst place, prone to paint peeling. Anyway, the Su-25 camo would look better if the line between colors was painted freehand, with some diffusion.

Intriguing for sure – while they look a lot like gun-pods at first glance, there is no muzzle to be seen. This being a -BM, maybe they house the towed targets?

I guess those are cargo/travel pods for smuggling vodka and other maintenance equipment, I can see two big access doors with quick-release fasteners for loading/unloading operations…. :D:D

Su-34 doesnt use L-175 unless you have some really good proof of that. It uses L-265.

could be that I misread, this was stenciled near the dielectric cap at the tail sting end. I think there is written Antennas of Izd. L-175…???
