Maybe I’m just an amateur ..but can anyone tell me how not to spin and hit the ground within 30 seconds of starting it up……unlike cfs 1 ( yes I know..cfs 1 ha ha ha .. but my computer is only one step up from a ZX81 and the new ones don’t run on it) where I can get a good score…..well…in half-witt mode anyway 😀

A friend sent this to me I think is a bit old, but I couldn’t stop laughing. Make sure you got the sound on, and click the power settings.

i dont want to flood the board but here is the bit about Rochester airfield…i had to shrink it a bit hope it’s still readible
how do you post more than 1 piccie?……anyone…..HELP
sorry i havent got the hang of posting piccies yet on this new-fangled bb
Welcome to the board mmitch, nice to see you come from the same part of the world as me..and of course rabie…anyway I recon that the stirling has big legs so the back of it clears the ground.. it has/ had a very big back-end ( see piccies below..hopfulley!) Compared to the lanc, which has a lovely sleek ass-end, as for the why’s and where-for’s of this I don’t know…just design maybe? But the stirling does seem to be a very big, or should that be fat, aircraft at the back ( or are the 6 can’s of fosters kicking in 😉 )
BTW I came across this looking at the local paper today……looks like after all the hard work Rochester is going to be a indrustrial park anyway or at least a bit of it is, and when that is built the council will say its unsafe for flying and build on the rest of it. Council !!!! I can think of a better name beginning with ‘C’

Hi David
You top man..I have been watching the film on a regular basis since the middle 80’s, and I have never spotted him, I have just checked my copy and you are absolutely correct, there is only about 30 seconds of him but he is there.
Hi seafury fan
That’s the great thing about dvd players, most of them anyway, they are easy to multi region, I think its great that big company’s get together and spend millions of pounds/ dollars to design something to stop people watching things they are not meant to see and with a few presses of buttons away you go, he he he. I have to admit that I don’t own a copy of dark blue world. However if anyone is interested I rented it from blockbusters a few weeks ago it’s a cracking film

RE: Dark Blue World
How come you are all buying dark blue world on import when it’s available on region 2, does it have anything different to the one you can get over here?
And seeing as we are on the subject of BoB film, as some of you know I have seen the film more times than I care to remember, may be I am just stupid….but where the hell is Michael Redgrave in it!! Or was he one of the pilots in the missing extra squadron never featured, if so why is his name in the credits? I know that I should have asked Mr Rudhall at the get-together but I was in the middle of a stinking cold and not feeling my usual self….anyway, since I first saw this post I have been searching the internet for conformation of this forthcoming release and have, as yet, been unable to find it, I have however found that as well as 633 squadron and mosquito squadron they are, at the same time, realising “THE DAM BUSTERS” on dvd!!! How cool is that!! As for BoB if they just release it in wide screen I will be happy….on second thoughts no I wont, I want extras as well!!…loads of them!!

RE: Rebuild or Replica??
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-01-03 AT 11:22 AM (GMT)]This thread has, I think, been raised before, and very controversial it was as well.. IMHO there are “the purists” that would say that building an aircraft around the maker’s plate, in no way constitutes an original aircraft, however is there any aircraft that is 100% original? For instance if I found a nice shiny new spitfire encased in grease in a box that has a date stamp of 1940 on it you may say that it is original, however the moment I take it out and put new spark plugs in it and change the oil its not original any more….or is it? Everyone has there own rules. To me aircraft like the BBMF’s Mk II spitfire is “original” however seeing that it was shot down and crash-landed they must have changed some bits on it. I think that some sort of percentage has to come into play to determine if YOU (used in the general term) want to call an aircraft original or not. Now the magic question is what percentage? Don’t ask me cause I don’t know, maybe 25 or 50?, if indeed you want to call it original at all, having said all that I am just thankful that there are people with enough time and money to get / keep these aircraft in the air for us all to enjoy

oh Damien Is it “looks like a duck – flys like a duck” 😀 😀 😀 😀 }>
