This may sound like a stupid question, my questions here usually are đŽ , but is there any reason why all the rudders are missing in Jagx204âs last lot of pics, yeah I know they are being scraped/sold, just seemed odd, various bits missing from them but all the rudders gone

Thanks for those links Steve0, and the prompt response, they answer most of my questions, but does BOL stand for anything like B allistic O rdnance L auncher? Thatâs just a guess btw, but the only thing I can imagine it stands for, and Iâd be very surprised if Iâm anywhere near.
Thanks again

I hate this building on airfields BS âwe need more homes in the south eastâ they cryâŚ..well maybe we do, however, and I use west malling as an exampleâŚ..about the cheapest place you will find there is around two hundred and sixty thousand pounds!! Not exactly housing for the masses is it?, more like someone is making a big wedge of cash out of it. The residents of west malling who complained about the two days a year, when a airshow was on, about the noise and traffic congestion now have to put up with twice the amount every day, with people going to and from home and work, as I donât think anyone who works at kings hill can afford to live there. We also have, near here, chatham dockyard and the âwonderfulâ st marys island housing estate, again not many locals can afford a place there, almost every one I have met who lives there has come down from London, and goes back there every day to work, the same goes for brown field housing estate sites in Sittingbourne. I think that The thing that drives these sort of developments is not the âlets build more homes for peopleâ its âbuild there, no ones gonna complain about that, and we will make a shed load of money out of it âŚoh yeah⌠donât forget to call one of the roads spitfire way just to make every one think we care about what it used to beâ . I view all airfields as important nationalâŚâŚ.i cant find the right word hereâŚtreasures??âŚ..to be viewed in the same light as Bosworth, Naseby and Hastings⌠hey thereâs a ideaâŚ.its only a crumbling old castle thing.. lets knock the ba$tard down stick up some houses…five-hundred thousand each??? Oh..yeah⌠donât forget to call it Harold II wayâŚâŚâŚ Can you imagine the out cry?.
I feel sure that going down the road of securing them as places of national importance is the right, and maybe the only thing to do. SE5AFAN you have my full support and I will help in any way I can.

Some of the âown brandsâ do re-badge sets however IN MY OPIONION they are not of the same quality, take Philips and Dynatron (this is going back to the late 80âs early 90âs 2a chassis) dynatron sets were more expensive than Philips both using the same type of chassis tube ect however where the Philips sets suffered from lots of problems (back up batteriesâŚ(you know what im talking about DGH đ ) and usually showed sings of scorching on the pcbâs (Printed Circuit Board) the dynatron sets suffered to a much a lesser degree particularly of scorching, in fact we repaired a dynatron set a few months ago and the pcb looked like it came out the factory yesterday. The last time I recall repairing the Philips version was at least a year ago and it was well knackered, the same goes for bang & oulfson they have, in the past, used hitachi and Philips chassis in the videoâs and Thomson chassis in the tvâs, they always seem to give better service and be in better condition than the respective makes do. now we have no idea why, the only thing we can think of is they are, maybe, of a higher grade, a kind of A+ grade as opposed to âAâ,âBâ or âCâ grade⌠there are of course exceptionsâŚmy granny has had a ‘insert make’ for ‘insert years’ and never had a problem, conversely my granny has had a ‘insert make’ and had nothing but trouble with it. there is one company that still make all their own stuff and I have never seen any of its stuff in other âbrandsâ its name begins with âPâ and its not Philips., you also have to bare in mind what DGH says about finding it difficult to find âgood stuffâ in the current economically driven climate, however generally âhigh endâ stuff of any main make, you will not find the same âguttsâ in a cheaper brandâŚ. make of it what you will. đ

Being in the trade as well, I can only echo DGH. We too give a free 5 year warrantee with all our tvâs. Including plasma and lcd. We to only sell good stuff, it makes sense in the long run to buy a top make if you can, donât go to the Big Boys go and see your local independent dealer more often than not he will be able to compete on price and the after sales service will knock spots off the multiples.
