    Best Specials record has got to be “concrete jungle”. Or seeing as this is a aviation forum how about “international jet set”..you know,

    Safety belts and sickness bag’s
    Jet lag down the pill
    Duty free booze and fag’s
    Make me feel ill.

    Ahhh great stuff….

    However, as some of you who were a duxford at the weekend may have seen from my t-shirt, I like “Green day” as for fav record…well there are so many I would be here all night. but at the moment its got to be “Jaded” track 11 from the Insomniac album

    I am sure this “nova” was next me today at the lights….every time the “bass” kicked in you could see the rust fall of the bottom of it from the vibration!! he beat me away As I couldn’t see for laughing.

    can i play if i only got cfs 1 ?….yeah i know but my pc is older than god, so i havent got the latest one as it only just run’s cfs 1 in “crappy mode”

    Thanks seafuryfan, here’s another one from a different angle. And Im not knocking the fact it wasn’t flying. And as for the fact that the volunteers are not recognised enough I think that the piccie of a bloke working on it while there is plenty of other stuff going on speaks volumes for the dedication of the ground crew and everyone else envolved with the TFC.

    I think there will be other occasions that we see the hurri fly, I was…. perhaps not the right word but…..disappointed…… not to see the la9 fly on Sunday, I don’t know why it didn’t, but personley unless they are 200% happy with a aircraft I would prefer it stayed on the ground. As for rushing anything I don’t think tfc or another restorer / operator would do that anyway.
    I case anyone missed it Here is a piccie of the hurri in the hanger being worked on.

    Any idea who is going and on what day, and are there any plans for a bit of a meet up / chat / beer / hot dog / walk up the crowd line and take the p1$$ out of people on step ladder’s or with wind break’s, before the action starts ? 😀 😀 😀

    They are supposed to be rebuilding a lightning up at my local Bae in Rochester, or as I like to call it “the short bros’ aeroplane works” I have a mate who works there and have asked him if he knows how they are going with it, but he wouldn’t know a lightning if it flew at mach 2 over his house blowing all his windows out, for some one who works there he shows a remarkable lack of interest in any thing that fly’s, anyway, according to damien’s site it may be used as a gate guardian there, if it is I hope they take more care of it than the South Gyle one. If anyone who knows how they are getting on with it, at Rochester, I would be interested.
