Warranties and Product Liability on second-hand goods are you sure ??
If buying from a company / trader , definately – goods must be fit for intended purpose , Sale of Goods Act , any electrical goods must be PAT tested and certified as such , private sales – goods must be as stated ie fit for use , any major defects must be stated at time of purchase if seller is questioned by purchaser . If you don’t ask you have no comeback , get a receipt with a statement of your purchase and its condition at time of purchase
And Alastair please dont apologise to anyone on my account as the I have nothing to apologise for. We only have a difference of opinion not a life threatning dilema.
Just because I dont use Spell check all too often doesnt mean people dont know what I am on about. But perhaps this is down to the fact that I type pretty fast so I dont waste so much time with these post and I can do other things.
I do a pretty good 35-45 WPM but I can still type and spell at the same time , I need to I’m paid to be online.
Also If you have had 4 or 24 hours sleep in the last 3 days is of no concern to me just watch out on those roads as I wouldnt want anything to happen to you or your family while you were out driving.
Nothing much is of any concern to you , I had you down as a pretty intelligent guy , unfortunately I misjudged this , sorry .
You don’t need to worry about my family , they won’t fit on the back of my Yamaha , the wife can run the kids around in her own car/SUV.
See you at East Fortune .

Steve , is there any signs of your Beau moving on yet since she was put up for sale ??? , are you still working on her ??

Well sorry guys but some of us actually do care about the content of the gorund show as well as the airshow. I for one do actually buy stuff from the stalls and as a matter of fact if you buy mail order or over the net you usaully find you pay a postage charge well why not cut that charge out and buy the same item at a show. I gather none of you have heard of Show prices. Item are usually priced lower than you would get from a shop or mail order.
And then there is the wait to get it through the post when why what do you know at a show you actually get to look at the item and buy it there and then to have it in your hand that day WOW what a concept how come no one thought of that before.
Merlin , stop being an ass , I have heard of show prices , have you heard of warranties or product liability – try getting your cash back from a Market Trader when you’ve bought a fake print or a dud camera , I too collect aviation prints – I’ve never seen one at an airshow cheaper than I can purchase from a reputable dealer / studio – that way I can choose my frame and have it titled if need be , try buying a decent remarque or signed print at a market . If I’m spending hard earned cash I want the confidence that the kit I buy is what I want NOT some stuff marked down as “show prices”. The only thing I look out for at an Airshow is the second-hand books , model kits and burgers .
Please stop the childish postings , use your spellchecker and have a serious look at your grammar , you are making us Scots “avaition” enthusiasts look like idiots , I just hope the rest of the Forum don’t tar us with the same brush as you , apologies to the Forum from us Scots , especially to Damien .

As a non-Sun reader ( although I did spot their headline ) I have spoken to two good friends who are economic analysts for the same stocks/futures trading company , one based in London and the other based in Hong Kong ( both rugby playing alcoholics ) we would be subsidising other less prosperous countries in the EU ( in fact we already do ) , and we would see a decline in dollar / yen investments , these investors see the UK as a firm stable trading platform with the backup of a good labour market , to put us on the same par as other less prosperous countries could cost us further jobs and investment . Both are of the same opinion that Mr Blair will NOT commit fully to Europe at present – there are signs of yen investment in the UK increasing in the very near future ( Toyota have just announced further investment at their Derby facility ) there are also strong rumours of a substantial ramp up of Semiconductor manufacture in the UK – there is plenty of spare capacity in the UK , there are two mothballed IC Fabs in Scotland alone.

Are there, dear friend, any politician who makes what their electorate wants?. Not at all, I am affraid. You are right. British politicians should pull the UK out because the people want it to…or not?: so why they don´t summon a reference to quit the Union?.
I think you will find that the majority of the British press is trying to force a referendum , one of the most popular , and normally pro-Labour papers published a headline last week with “1805 we beat the French , 1945 we beat the Germans , 2003 Blair surrenders to the EU – NO!!”. if Blair subjects us to any Euro lapdog crap he WILL lose the next General Election , we’re doing fine at present , we have the lowest unemployment figures in years , a mortgage interest rate running around 4% , a healthy economy , why would we want to subsidise some Euroholes ?? , Spain is fine for a holiday , but we certainly don’t want them as a family member.

And do you know why the politicians do that?. It´s just a question. Wouldn´t it be that they know what it benefits the country?
Which country ?? , certainly not the UK , if mainland Europe wants to unite into the US of E that’s fine , just leave us Brits out , the Europeans seem to want us more than we want them , I’ll state again I DON’T KNOW ANYBODY WHO IS PRO EUROPEAN , STICK THE EURO WHERE THE SUN DON’T SHINE , the UK is doing just fine right now , keep the pound !!

It doesnt matter a monkeys whether its on the same day as Duxford! So what!
Neither does it matter what is on the stalls for Pete’s sake.
There are much bigger things for people to worry about!
I live midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow so EF is reasonably easy for me to reach , if it coincides with Duxford so what !!! , go to Duxford on one of the other days !! , I also don’t give a rats ass what is on the stalls , if I want something I tend not to use market stalls , if you want a specific item buy it over the net or get it mail order , don’t rely on stalls not having a SPECIFIC item you want , who cares what is on the stalls ?? watch the ‘planes !!!!.
There was definately at least one cockpit section came back from the continent , it had been cut down the middle vertically but had been butted back together , maybe worth a phone call to Keith tomorrow to ask what happened to the rest of them . The film is crap too , definately not worth losing any Lightnings over.
I think the cockpit sections did return from filming , Keith at Marine Salvage , Portsmouth bought them back I’m sure , last year he also had a complete ex-Saudi airframe for sale – he wasn’t willing to sell parts of it – he would only sell it as a complete aircraft – doe’s anybody the serial No of this one ??? , Damien where are you ?????
