I’m reading the american press (not Murdoch’s crap) and I can understand some of the US point of view.

I’m not a Chirac big fan but I guess that so far he is right.

BTW he never said that he was against a war , he said that he was against a war NOW.

I work for an American Medical company and I have not spoken to a single one who is against the fore coming war , I’n fact almost EVERY single one I have spoken to is of the opinion that we should finish the job we started in 90-91 and remove Saddam from power , believe me this will happen with or without the UN.

Hmmm , If the insurance man reads this I’m in deep **** .
I bought a 6 month old YZF750SP , I had just learned how to lift the front wheel , had a barbeque one Sunday and yours truly decided to try and impress the wife and mates , jeans and T shirt , no helmet and no boots , got the wheel up , then there was an almighty bang and the front just dropped dead , the chain had snapped, mangled the swinging arm ( Spondon megabucks), ripped a hole in the crankcase , burst my nose when I headered the instuments and had severe road rash.
Funniest thing I’ve seen my mate do was try to pass me ( I was in a car ) on a road into the local leisure centre , he came wheelying past at a fair speed and was too busy watching my car when he hit a speed bump , catapulted himself into a lamp post , nobody could get out of the car to help as we were all too busy laughing.

I was given a Israeli NVG monocular sight for free , complete with the dual battery pack which clips onto your webbing belt , they were supposed to be broken but all that was wrong was that the twin batteries were fitted back to front , excellent piece of kit for shooting rabbits with at night , as long as there is some ambient moonlight they work superbly.

Why do you think we got builders (cheap foreign labour no less) in to erect Hadrians Wall?

For those staying overnight , the whisky session is not optional , it is mandatory . However the usage of jukeboxes in bars whilst trying to listen to some serious aviation tales will result in jukebox demolition . There may be some free accomodation in my in-laws static caravan in North Berwick , but will find some decent B+B’s as well .

Is there nobody interested in coming up here !!, no there are not hundreds of midges flying around , we don’t force feed anybody haggis , on the other hand , it will be an interesting weekend (Uncle Keith trying to jump start a Vulcan ) , the beer is fine and Uncle Keith has a fine taste for Speyside Malts.
Were only an hour over the border and the MoF Tearoom is damn good.
