Great picture!
We had an Evergreen 747 at EMA the other day on an Emirates flight from Dubai.
Loco, I have a vague memory of hearing about them.
Found this website http://www.locoflights.com is it them?
It doesn’t look so much like an airline but more like a company that sells tickets on other carriers, no sign of any aircraft operated or anything.
Haven’t experienced it myself but when my mum and dad went Malaga last month with MyTravel Lite they said the pilot was hilarious. They did give a few example but I can’t remember any apart from him saying that it was nice to actually have some passengers on his flight for a change!
At EMA we’ve not got too much but:
A new 747 flight starts on Thursday, will operate 5 weekly arriving at 1230 (3 x JFK, 2 x ORD) and departing out to AMS at 1430. Operated by Kalitta.
A few charters: Nouvelair Tunisia, Balkan Holidays, Aegean, Pegasus.
Apart from that I expect the usual easyjet, bmibaby and cargo flights. We should get the new UPS 767 soon.
Hopefully I can catch a few more interesting visitors doing circuits and in for maintanence.
Apart from that we havn’t got a lot.
We had an unscheduled stop in Nantes with Airtours a few back when they had their MD-83’s. The captain made a joke about a whip around on our flight, well we thought it was a joke at the time! Caused a little delay while the payment were sorted out but it was eventually sorted somehow, either the captain paid or he sorted it with the Airtours office.
Have to agree that the official site is crap, too flash and very difficult to find anything at all.
Can’t find passenger or cargo figures but what techical info do you need? May be able to help there.

Above post is correct. To summerise:
The Airbus types go with the three numbers:
First = the series
Second = the manufacturer of the engine
Third = the engine type
There are no real A320-200’s as such, all A320-2** are referred to as A320-200’s as most people don’t know (or probably care) what the other two numbers are and the series is the most important.
Boeing codes are dependant on the first operator of that aircraft, but the two numbers will never change throughout the history of that aircraft, it will always use the same ones of the first operator. As said above BA’s is 36, if you would like to find out more airline codes then go here:

Air Scotland looks alright, snowflake is a bit boring.
With all these new low costs around I think I’ll have to go to Palma or Malaga in the summer to see a few of them.
Very nice, be looking out for this at EMA in the future.
Theres also a few forums at planepictures.net but I think you have to have pictures in the database to contribute and its not really very lively in comparison to airliners.net.
OK thanks.
I booked it as a flight only from the MyTravel website so it doesn’t look like I’ll get one.
I’ll have to take a bit of food with me or buy a meal like you say.
Thanks again
Don’t know what the chances are of LBA or LPL being used, but I can’t see many going there really.
The runway two thing is just a rumour I heard from a few regulars on Wednesday. I don’t think it would be such a problem, they’d have to be towed wherever they parked anyway.
I know at BHX they parked them all on their shorter runway when the UEFA final was at Villa Park. There was that many they were putting them anywhere they could.
With regard using one runway, they managed until a few years ago and runway 2 closes at 1200 till 1500 now anyway, I don’t think they are anywhere near full runway capacity even in the summer anyway, can’t see this being a problem.
Ren – Why not go for a digital SLR camera instead of neg scanner?
I’ll definately be there, so they’ll be at least two of us.
I think theres also a few going on May 28th for the Champions League final? This already sound awsome (if Man Utd DON’T make it), theres rumours they’ll close the second runway to park planes on!
Anyway, I’ll be there for both.
