OK, it may operate a flight or two to LHR, but from a photography point of view the oportunities at MAN are much, much better than LHR (and I haven’t seen / photographed one yet).

    No Problem.

These timetables are pretty handy, but the Summer one doesn’t usually come out till May so I’m going to be out of date soon for a month or so!

Good to hear that you had a good day.

Would love a trip down Gatwick sometime, although its a bit too far and I can’t be bothered to drive all that way!

I am though buying a new camera at the end of March from a shop in West Sussex, don’t know whether to drive down or have it delivered yet, would be ideal to drive down and then test it a LGW though!

On a similar subject, MAN should be a good day on Wednesday, I’ll be there if anyone fancies it.
Loads of charters for the Man Utd V Basle game include:

Swiss – different types including an A330!
    Neos 737’s
    Belair 757
    Edelweiss A320
    Hapag Lloyd A310
Aero Lloyd – Can’t remember type

According to my winter timetables both flights are 738, next month will obviously be from the summer one, but I’d think they’d be the same aircraft so you may be disappointed. 🙁

I’m off to MAN on Wednesday as theres quite a few interesting visitors for the Man Utd Basle game, weather looks good as well so if anyone wants a good day at MAN then Wednesday is the day!

My mum and dad flew Emirates MAN- Dubai – MAN in business.

They flew out on an A330 and back on a 777. Overall they said the flight was good, inflight entertainment was good and the service was excellent, my dad still insists it was the best flight he’d been on apart from Concorde to New York.
You can also watch a view from the front of the aircraft as you fly, although on the 777 you have to stow the TV away so its not much use.
Apart from a few other moans about the 777 over the A330 there was nothing more bad I can remember them saying.

And the booze – Yes! Your can drink on Emirates but it is banned when overflying certain Arab countries that don’t allow it I think.

    Very nice picture!

It has operated to LHR, I managed to get a pic in July 2001.

I have read somewhere that Swiss are due to be taking delivery of the EMB 170 in the summer and I think one of the first routes will be BHX, where it will replace the 145 on certain flights.

I’m with Virgin Net, on their broadband at £27.99 a month.

They also do a dial up at £13.50 last time I checked, had no problems, seem pretty good to me.

    OK, Its finished!
I’m opening up officially tomorrow, but if you want to use it now go to http://www.plane-mad.com/flightguide/flightguide.php

Everything is done, except Aurigny is a bit of a mess, some of the frequencies may be wrong – Saab any ideas of the frequencies so I can check them up?

If you find any probs then let me know.

I’ve also registered http://www.lowcostflightguide.co.uk so you can reach it from that, let me know what you think!

RE: News Items…CSA emergency landing/Boeing 737-900 is still growing/SAA plans to splash out on Ai

Some more good news for Airbus with the A380!

I can see a lot of airlines going this way for routes such as LHR, there are very few slots now and I can’t see any decision being made on expansion for a few years, so it’ll be a while before a new runway is built.

    RE: Low Cost Airlines

Flybe are a tricky one. They haven’t got a timetable on their website. You have to order one to get through the post (which I did last weekend but still nothing!).

The other tricky one is Ryanair, again no timetable on website (for summer). I’m leaving them till just before I open it and search different days on their book online section.
