RE: Alaska to unveil new themed aircraft.

I like it, but agree that it was overhyped.

However, remember that when talking about the scheme, they were aiming it at the normal public and not at aviation enthusiasts who see colour schemes from all around the world on a daily basis.

A little kid who like Disney will love the scheme!

    RE: London Gatwick!!

    Completely agree!!

I can remember reading somewhere that the Frankfurt Gallery was very highly ranking in the most visited tourist places in the country. It really doesn’t take a lot and as you say people would be willing to pay quite a bit for a good area. There would be a lot of photographers that would pay quite a bit for a good spot at LHR.

Airports are constantly complaining about us lot trying to anywhere and everywhere around the airport for views and photos, but the best way to solve the problem is to build a good viewing area in the first place, even if it means paying a few quid then people would be willing to.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-12-02 AT 05:39 PM (GMT)]What were they thinking of causing a riot, very dangerous and must have been serious if there was a mayday call. And to think that Celtic went trough last night as well!

On the aviation side, a bit aout the piece above:

The plane is run by Spanish airline Astraeus and the flight number is AEU308
    Astraeus is a British airline!!

Sounds like it hit some bad turbulence.

Something similar happened once when I was coming back from Malta on a Britannia 767 apparently (I slept through the whole thing, was only about 2 or 3 though). Anyway, we suddenly dropped, everyones drinks went everywhere and anyone who didn’t have a seat belt on hit the ceiling. A stewardess was burnt quite badly after a trolley hit her.
This sort of thing happens, always keep your belt on when your seated, even if its not very tight!!

RE: Should Alan Shearer be called into the England squad?

I agree with dcfly, hes just not the man he used to be. Towards the end of his International career you could see that he didn’t have the same ability and pace as he used to have, but Keegan just wouldn’t drop him.
He may be doing OK in the permiership but I don’t think hes International class anymore, its a much better idea to try and blood some of the younger players into the side.

My guess would be a 757.

I should be getting the winter timetables within a few days (if they get delivered on time) so I’ll be able to confirm then.

Shes fuming at Air Canada? It sounds to me like its her fault!

A serious point to this, isn’t it a bit of a security risk that she was allowed to stay on to London when she was only sheduled to fly domestically, well not so much security but customs wise cause you wouldn’t need a passport domestically.

    RE: AW Forum Meet??

Well, I can do EMA, BHX, MAN or LHR. LGW as well I suppose.

If your looking for a good spot viewing wise then MAN would probably be best.

How about setting up a new topic with a poll, Where should we all meet? We can all vote for our favourite meeting place.

    RE: Check this out-totally hilarious

OK, I tried Basil and Manuel from Fawlty Towers, David Brent from the Office and also Gary and Tony from Men Behaving Badly, it guessed all of them!

How do you beat this thing?
