RE: Holidays.
dcfly – Yep, there are Libyan flights but I’m not sure when. As the airport is open 24hrs they get a lot of night flights, so it my be quiet at times.
Another good tour company to Malta are Malta Direct Travel (something like that), its n Air Mlta company that obviously specialise in Malta. Malta’s a great place, sure you’ll have a good time.
RE: The European Music Industry Is A Joke
Very, very well said!!
Don’t know whats no.1 this week but did you see what was no.1 in the UK last week? That says it all!
To add to the list of real singers are a few whos albums I bought recently (all Americans!):
Michelle Branch – Has to be the best album I’ve bought, fantastic songs, she wrote or co-wrote them all. For some reason her album, never really got anywhere here, I just can’t understand that at all!
Also Avril Levigne, some great songs on her album.
With the UK it really doesn’t matter what the song is like, it will do well if a popular person sings it. Take a look at Will and Gareth, anything they release for the next few months will go straight to number 1, regardless whether it actually sounds good or is just bad rip-off of another song!
You don’t have to sing nowadays here as everything is mimed, makes me laught where you see TV programmes they say, “here to perform their latest single”, the performance is actually a dance and (very often bad) miming!
Absolutely agree with wehat you say 100%!

RE: Holidays.
Not going anywhere before xmas, but I’m looking at going to Lanzarote in January sometime. Looking at the hotel I want to stay at though and it will probably cost me about £600 for a week so I’ll have to see!
dcfly – Airport in Malta is great, newly built in the early 90’s I think. Looks good, fully air conditioned and one of the better holiday airports I’ve flown into. They have some interesting stuff in there from Russia and the Middle East but expect to see plenty of Air Malta!

RE: Radio Stations?
I don’t listen to the radio much anymore, CD’s are better in the car, but anytime I do then I have Leicester Sound (105.4) on. Its another “better music mix” station from the same company as many across the country, I think Capital FM is also one.
Ands theres 5 Live on Saturday afternoon, specially if Liverpool are on!

RE: Quiz Time.
40% of LHR traffic to STN?
Is this a figure of what will happen or what the government hope will happen? I can’t see any airline wanting to move to Stansted. Every one wants to fly from Heathrow which is why its so overcrowded now.
RE: Jal’s proposed new colour scheme.
Don’t like it, after dcfly’s post I can’t really add to that, only agree with it!!
RE: 717
Aerolineas de Baleares (AeBal) mentioned above is a Spanair subsidiary which operate under similar colours and with the title Spanair link on the side. They fly from Palma Mallorca to destinations around Spain mainly, so in a way Spanair do fly them.
Kinda strange a few of the major MD operators never ordered them, maybe because its was the last of the line as I don’t think Boeing have any plans to take the MD range any further.

RE: easyjet select A319!
Great news for Airbus! By the sounds of it Airbus must have given easyjet a fantastic deal, cheap aircraft plus all the assistance they are getting to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Its great to see Airbus making strides into the low cost area, its he one area they’ve struggled in.
Can’t wait to see the first easyjet A319!
RE: Airline – Management Simulation
Its $85 (AUD) which sounds a lot but works out at about £30 which is what you’d usually pay for a game really. Upgrades are released about twice a year and cost about £9 each so once you have the CD it only costs about £20 a year to keep getting the new features which seems very reasonable to me.
I’ve spent the afternoon on it again and am very impressed with it so far.
RE: Avianca’s new c/s!
I have to say I always thought of it as being orange, the bottom pic of the Fokker is scanned and so won’t look as true colour as its supposed to be.
I actully quite like the new colours, I suppose a bit dull with the colours it uses, but its quite nice.
RE: And if you had to move?
Would love to move abroad, spain would be quite nice, maybe Majorca.
My number 1 choice though would be Florida, given the chance I’d be out there tomorrow, spent a month there last year and didn’t want to come home.
The UK has to be one of the worst places to live, basically one big rubbish tip with bad weather!
