RE: What do you think about this picture?
I’d have to say this looks pretty dodgy but is most probably real, if you were goping to dream up or create a photo you’d choose something a little better.
Using some of the explanations from above but I can’t see who wrote them while typing this!
Anyway, the aircraft is landing on a brand new runway, the runway being higher up which is why you see no land before the sea (Madeira is famous for this as mentioned by someone else above). Also the photo has been taken kind of into the sun, the sun isn’t perfectly behind the camera, which is why you get the reflections from the sea and no horizon.
I’d guess this was real but just a bad scan.
RE: Good day a EMA…….
Not a bad day today either, apparently there was another Virgin A340 doing circuits but I missed it!
Something interesting for once, all we can look forward to through the winter is 737’s galore, with baby, Go and easyjet!
RE: Pics Of The Day – Danny Hill!
Well, hey thanks guys 🙂
I love the blue sky on the Tupolev, I just can’t wait for another MAN morning like that (could be waiting a long time though!).
Thanks Again
RE: LOCO !!!
As EGNM said, they’ll be operated by Air Atlanta. Says in the first post, flights only operated Fri, Sat and Sun so I don’t think they’ll be any re-painting.
Andrew – Yours would look pretty interesting!
RE: best airline company to go to los angeles
Personally I’d choose Virgin and try to get on an A340. Its the best airline / aircraft combintion I’ve ever flown on.
RE: viewing planes
Only one I tried to view and take photos at was Orlando and apart from approach shots it was pretty impossible.
The US is very strict on anyone even watching planes after 9/11, they don’t really understand us lot as well as here in the UK and many other countries.
RE: LOCO !!!
I have to agree, they must be very, very confident if they’re using 747’s! 767’s are quite big also lets not forget.
I’ve just checked on BHX-TFS, the flight leaves BHX at 23:15 and costs £230 (similar to what my parents paid for a MON flight BHX-ACE)! So your going to fill a 767 or a 747 with those times and those prices!
RE: Pics on Sunday.
Some good photos there!
I like the Air Malta and BM Fokker with the lights on, the Thomas Cook is great picture given the darkness.
The Austrlian colours look greaat as well!
RE: Druken Tails
No 2 is a bit of a hard one, how about TAM from Brazil?
Just the three letters in white on a red background.
RE: How old are you?
21 from England, just incase I get the energy to actually change my image one day from that flag I used for the world cup!

RE: Leaving
OK, I’ve not visited much over the last few days and haven’t had a chance to try the new forum mayself but, may I suggest the reason a lot of you dislike it is because its “different”. After a year or so looking at this one its understandable that a big and sudden change may not be liked at first. I’ve been to a few forums around the net that have changed and at first you hate it, mainly because your not used to it, but it soon becomes the norm and you get used to it everythings fine.
I think its a good idea changing over gradually and if its good in the long run then it can’t hurt to give it a go.
RE: Pic of the day….. Just had to post these two great shots.
THEY ARE NOT FAKE!!!
Its been discussed to death the past couple of days on a.net and the vast majority of the actual photographers agree that they are not fake. Basically they were taken from the ground just after take-off, the forest fires are in the far distance and what your actually seeing is the front of them and not the top, certainly looks a bit weird but they are real.
I’ve had the saame said about one of mine, but there are people on there who know what they are talking about and all have said these are real, two others were standing next to him when he took them!
It does make the photo look a little strange, but they are real.
