Thanks for the info, sorry bhoy didn’t see that post, had little time to see the posts lately.
Hoping to see a 319 on one of the swiss routes at either EMA or LTN when they are delivered.
Hey Kev, missed you by a day.
I was there yesterday for the DUO, the titles are really bad, you can’t see it from a fair distance, should stand out more.
Like the shots, the Eurocypria colours are great and love the 737’s with winglets!
On the subject of Virgin Upper Class, they’re installing new bed seats on there aircraft over the winter to next year, looks great !
Was going to say, but was beaten to it. I think its operating for Ryanair.
EGNM will confirm, it was operating the LBA flight the day I met him there but I missed it! 😡
The first one is fantastic, second one is great but perhaps slightly overboard.
And to think that Airlines pay companies millions to design their liveries!
Can make the August LHR as its a weekend, the other one I’ll try to make more so now as I missed the last one, but everything from September onwards has big ??’s over at the minute for me so I’ll see nearer the time on that one.
I’d echo what Ren has said. If you like action shots such as airshows, landings and take-ofs as stated then you would be much better suited with an SLR, the picture takes the instant you press the button and theres no delay as with a lot of point and shoot cameras (especially digital).
The Canon EOS 300 is the one I started with and is a great camera, I think theres a new version called 300V out now.
Monster – If the photographer has purposely put it for sale then I think everyone would agree that that would be in bad taste, anyone who buys it would be sick, you certainly wouldn’t want to stick it on your wall.
Just one thing that may save the photographer somewhat, usually the option on a.net is to sell all or none of your photos. Maybe hes ticked the all button without realising how it would look on this particular photo.
Only explaination I can think of, otherwise it is in very bad taste.
Don’t know if theres 1 for LHR but theres a yahoo group for EMA and BHX, leaving a message like that would definately bring a result, must be one for LHR I would think.
As said, there are lots of crash pictures on a.net and although not very nice, I suspect they are well viewed, if you see a crash then a picture shows the result of this, thats why the media publish such pictures. The newspapers will publich picture like that after ever crash, there was a graphic of the M56 accident in the Mirror on Friday showing the carnage caused.
I think its a little harsh with the selling part. The option on a.net is to allow for all or none of your photos to be for sale, pressing the “sell photos” button after submitting this he may not have realised how that would look. I don’t think the photographer would be trying to make a profit from this but if that is the case then of course its wrong.
I agree that buying or selling pictures like this for your own personnal gain is wrong but that may not be the case here.
Some good new for LBA, keeping an eye on the new routes now for my future visits!
On the subject of easyjet, I’ve just had an e-mail through on the EMA group, rumour is they will base a 4th aircraft with Athens as a new route. Certainly sounds interesting.
Glad to see you had a good time.
That trips sounds interesting (and cheap!), but the prices of Hotels may just increase that total a little.
Kev35 – Sorry to hear about your uncle mate.
As EGNM mentioned I unfortunately can’t make it.
I’m currently back-up for a girl at work who decided to take her (once a year!) holiday this week!!! She has 52 to choose from and chooses the same bloody week as the meetup.
Anyway with one thing and another I had still hoped to make it but found out at the end of last week that it was 100% I wouldn’t be able to.
Sorry about the late response, hope all those there have a good time and maybe they’ll be another chance at some stage.
Just a quick update, discussion going on with the BHX yahoo e-mail thingy is that it could be there tomorrow, apparently its back at MAN now so god knows whats going on!
It looks grey, but not sure if it looks THAT grey.
When I first saw it I thought it could be Olympic, still fairly grey belly but a much lighter shade of grey.
