Actually you’ve got one wrong there.

    14. Air 2000 callsign is definately ‘Jetset’

    ‘Kestrel’ belongs to Airtours!

    RE: NO

OK, some people pay $7000 trip to the US on Concorde, but how many? There are 200 seats per day up for grabs! Only 14 Concordes were ever bought! While the SC will not be as fast or cost as much as Concorde, it will cost more than a normal airliner and will people be willing to pay it?

In a world where the no-frills, cheap ticket airlines are doing so well and so much congestion at the major airports I just can’t see a huge demand for a (very) slightly faster small – medium aircraft.

I agree with GeForce that the A380 is the way to go and by the looks of the figures above, that will have a faster speed than modern airliners.

As far as charters go then I have always been impressed with Air 2000. It would be a difficult choice between them and Britannia as to which was the best charter airline I’ve flown on.
Always flown out roughly on time, good meals and good entertainment.

As for the North Terminal, no spectators area at all and certainly no aviation shops. You can get a view out though once you are in the departure lounge if I remember correctly (it was about 8 years ago I went from there, also to Orlando so it may have changed)!

    RE: The Sonic Cruiser

I can’t see it catching on myself. If the aircraft goes faster, it must use up more fuel with fewer passengers and therefore airlines will have to charge more to use this aircraft than ordinary aircraft.

Now the question is: How much more? How much more (if any) would you be willing to pay to cut just 1 hour off of a flight to New York?

It could perhaps work for a smaller, first class market, but I can’t see airlines ordering hundreds of this aircraft.

    RE: New Virgin Atlanic routes

Great to hear some very good news from Virgin. A bit surprised that they are looking into flights from Manchester as they have never really been interested outside London, although this is excellent.

I heard a few years ago that the LA and San Fran routes were the busiest for Virgin and maybe they get a lot of connection traffic from MAN. It would be great to see the A340-600 at Manchester reguarly, photos are very hard to get at Heathrow.

Also more flights from the UK to the US, another sign that things are really picking up now, more great news!

    Same two or different two?

    7. has got to be the A340 as it is an airbus cockpit with 4 thrust levers.

Its not a 146, look at the size of the wing span!

Part of the right wing seems to be in shadow and it makes it look smaller.

    RE: Viewing at Palma

As stated above, there is no official viewing area. There are two very good spots though.

I’ve written a guide, which you can get here:

This should give you all the info you need, if you have any questions then let me know.
