Help please, flights in SW America

Your best bet is OAG at http://www.oag.com

They have all schedule services listed, then go across to the airlines web site and get your prices and/or book the flight.

    RE: The 757

The 757 is a great aircraft, I’ve flown on it more than any other aircraft types and with many different airlines.

It is also one of the best take-offs around, behind Concorde of course 🙂

    Great plane!

As far as I know they have them on all 747-400’s and A340’s.

The move from fs98 to fs2k was a poor one, I can remember being very disappointed as well.

However, the move from fs2k to fs2002 is a huge and very good one! Lots of little extras, great graphics and it runs much smoother.

I’d advise you to give it a go, especially at that price!

Why does assigning seats cause 20mins extra on the ground?

    RE: virgin

Before September 11 they had two daily flights, one was a 747-400 (the early one) and one an A340.

According to the OAG website they are now both A340’s.
Its a great plane to fly on!

easyjet are OK, I’ve only flown with them once but there was no problems, apart from a hour delay on the return which meant we missed the first half of the England V Albania match 🙁

The only problem I have with them is that they don’t assign seats. It surely can’t cost anything to give you seats at check-in and try to get your party seated together for the flight. It was just a brawl for the gate when the flight was annonced and I wasn’t impressed at
    all.
Airlines like easyjet are always going to be popular for short haul destinations as it doesn’t really matter who you fly with on such short flights.

The only way terminal 5 will affect me is that I’ll probably see more aircraft when I go to Heathrow for a day, a good thing of course.
I hear that its going to be used mainly by BA. Why do they always get the new terminals? They moved in to T4 as soon as it opened and now they’re getting this other brand new terminal, bit unfair on the rest of the airlines using the airport really.

    RE: MyTravel Airways

I’ve never heard of that story before and I have to say I find it amazing in this day and age.

I’ve flown on an aircraft with a female co-pilot once ( BY flight ACE-EMA). There were a few jokes going around the aircraft, but this is due to the fact that it is still a mainly male dominated job and it surprised a few people.
There are an increasing number of female pilots though, I hear them regularly on the scanner and while I hope there continues to be more and more female pilots, not too many as increased demand means less chance of me making it. 🙂

A point on the Airtours go bankrupt comment, this was perhaps not meant literally but was a comment made in anger at the airline.

    RE: Wall planner

The new issue is out now, it was at my local Co-Op when I visited a few minutes ago.

Anyway, last years planner was poor, I still have it on my wall but I would have preferred a calender.

Wasn’t there a calender supplied the year before? I seem to remember there was.

RE: Microsoft FS02 PRO for £55!

Thats the size of the box!
There isn’t an instruction manual, its on the disk so that you can print it out.
Also, the three disks come in a cardboard case, which was very disappointing, after paying £70 I was expecting a DVD case within the other one.

The program is excellent though, no problems whatsoever.

PS look out for my dynamic scenery when I finish my first fs2002 versions.

I paid £69.99 for mine a few weeks ago, the day it came out.

    RE: virgin

They’ve cut a few atlantic routes such as Chicago and Toronto. I heard they’d retired the entire 747 classic fleet. Some routes have also been moved between Gatwick and Heathrow and I think the A340’s are operating most of the US routes with the 747-400’s being switched to South Africa and Asia.
I think I also heard that all flights to Athens have been halted.

I had a quite detailed magazine come, as I am in their flying club, I’ll try to find it and confirm these details.

The name is crap, it sounds like something from a silly game like Airline Tycoon.

    I like the colours though.
I don’t like the new Britannia colours at all, I think it needs a bit more colour added to the scheme and a different coloured tail.

    RE: Airline food

Best food I’ve had is with Airtours, cottage pie once and something else, I can’t remember what but it was nice.
Virgin food is usually good, I love the ice cream after your main meal as mentioned above.

Can’t think of any of the bad meals really.
