RE: Just plane video’s
I have one of New York JFK I bought a while back. Don’t know about the more modern ones but this didn’t impress me, it was just like an amateur video, something I could of done myself. As I say the modern ones may be better.
If your in to aviation videos you may prefer ones from ITVV (http://www.itvv.co.uk). They are from the cockpit videos which are excellent. A captain takes you on a flight and you follow every move from walkaround to gate. A long the flight you are shown all the systems on the aircraft and can hear very clearly all sounds between cockpit and ATC.
I suppose its just a matter of personal opinions, as to which you’d prefer.
RE: SCREEN SAVER
I have created a few from photos I have taken 🙂

Don’t know of any others.
RE: Survey
I gave a positive response all round, its a great mag. The only thing I really said was that I would like to see more stuff about the web, web site reviews or something like that. More flight sim reviews would also be good.
Sent it off today.
RE: “Ghost Jumbo”
It is being used by a charter airline although I’m not sure which one. It is a regular at MAN, I went up on two Sunday mornings and it was there both times, in the same position on the International Pier of T1. I’d guess its operating for Monarch.
The numbers after the reg, is it the construction number?
RE: WHAT HAS HAPPENED
I’ve looked around the Airbus web site at the A319CJ and it looks great. I suppose if I really had the money and wanted something a bit bigger then I’d go for an A330 kitted out in a very nice interior.
RE: BA & concorde pilot trouble
744 means 747-400, its just a shorter way of writting it.
RE: Overreaction regarding safety measures?
I think some of the measures announced are not going to work.
Give Pilots a gun – NO WAY!
You are giving a gun to an untrained person and effectively getting a weapon on board the aircraft for the hijackers.
6 Hijackers on the aircraft who are already willing to die are going to be able to get it from a guy in the cockpit.
I’m not totally convinced about this sky marshall idea either, even though he will be trained, its still one guy against a few of them and again, your putting a weapon onboard the aircraft.
I think that we should concentrate on stopping weapons getting on aircraft. Before the hijackings security on US domestic flights wasn’t very tough at all, which is probably why this was able to happen. I just think we should step up security and make sure weapons can not be smuggled on to aircraft.
RE: can anyone help me regarding fleets etc…
I got a bit of info io Gatwick on a page of my site:
http://www.plane-mad.com/lgw.php
Eastern Airways operate 9 Jetstreams, 8 32’s and 1 31.
Air Nostrum an Iberia regional carrier use Fokker 50, CRJ 200, ATR-72 and Dash 8 aircraft.
Skyways (Skyways Express) fly ERJ-145 and Fokker 50’s. One of there 145’s was leased to BM last year for a while.
If you want the codes, callsigns and website URL’s, you can get them here:

RE: BA plane fire
One of the world images, “Animals and Trees”
RE: The airlines/aircraft involved
Unbelievable to think this could happen, I still can’t believe it has.
Just lost for words.
Watching the ‘celebration’ in Juruselem on BBC which is making me sick. How any one can celebrate such devastation is beyond me.
Flights banned over central London, no unauthorised private flights to take place and we as with many other countries are also on high alert.
As I think with everyone, I offer condolences to anyone involved.
RE: Gatwick
1)146 has four engines and T-tail but is very small. Can’t think of any others.
2)Bright yellow: Virgin Sun
3)The lime green tail would probably have been JMC.
RE: B 747 SP
Just to add to the 747SP bit, the Qatar Government use it, I got a picture at Heathrow once (VP-BAT).
RE: looking for people!!!
I’d have to agree, Saab2000 seems to know quite a lot.
RE: BA & A380?
I’d have to agree that this is very unlikely. They seem to be replacing their fleet with smaller aircraft. They don’t have enough customers, most people have seen sense and realised just how bad an airline they are.
PS Virgin have already ordered the A380 🙂 🙂
RE: BA plane fire
The aircraft was at Denver and the fire broke out during re-fuelling while passengers were getting off of the plane. An airport worker was badly burnt, don’t think anyone else was injured.
The plane looked like a 777 from TV pictures.
