RE: bmi british midland
I flew with BA from LGW to Orlando a few years ago and have to say I was not impressed. The entertainment was one TV per about 30 rows (747-200). With me being young at the time and the seats being very big, I had to sit on the arm rest the entire time I wanted to watch the TV, which was cut and edited like crazy, horrible.
The staff were awful as well. Needless to say we fly Virgin everytime to US but I wouldn’t mind trying bmi and I’d love to fly on the A330.
RE: Viewing at Liverpool Airport
Whats photography like? Can you get above the fence or whatever is in the way? May have a look one day if so.
RE: whats the best airline and aircraft you have flown
The A340 has to be the best aircraft I’ve been on, completely opposite to your opinion.
I haven’t flown on the 777 but my dad says its the worst plane hes ever flown on!
Out of the airlines meantioned I’d have to say Virgin, BA are poor and I haven’t really been on many of ther others.
RE: Crown Point Airport, TOBAGO
If you go to http://www.oag.com . They have all scheduled flights and so typing Tobago to any destination you will be able to find out which aircraft fly the route and so what you will se there.
Hope this helps
RE: Amsterdam Schipol
Thanks for that info, I think I will have fun, it sounds like a good airport for photography.
RE: Flight Plans
I think flightsim.com has quite a few of them which people have uploaded, but I’m not sure about any other web sites.
RE: Thai International Airways
I think the only aircraft that the airline operates in Heathrow is the 747-400, it’s certainly the only one I’ve seen there, so the chances are that you will be flying on this aircraft.
RE: Some Info.
5 x Il-14, 8 x An-24, 4 x TU-154, 5 x Il-62, 3 x Il-134, 4 x Il-18, 3 x Il-76.
Taken from 2001 book.
RE: Amsterdam Schipol
Thanks for the reply, I’ll keep a look out.
RE: Good topic for a poll
Thanks for your ideas.
I ran a concorde poll a few months ago asking if it should be allowed to fly again.
The results were 90% to 10% in favour of it flying, the right result.
I’ve done the BA world tails 61 to 39 in favour of them.
I’ll probably use BA /AA see what the opinion is.
Thanks anyway
RE: Some Quiz Questions
My differences from the above answers:
12. I think it could be some airport in Scotland, not sure which.
19. Can only think of three schedules: BA, Virgin and bmi
Air 2000, Airtours, JMC, Britannia and Monarch operate charters, so is it 8?
20. British Regional also operate the ERJ-145
These quizes are great.
When do we get to know the answers?
RE: Some Quiz Questions
Without using any books to back up the answers, honest:
1. Not sure, but British Regional
2. 1, LHR on schedule flights (when they resume) and others on charters.
Or were you looking for 0 at the present time?
3. Belfast
4. Maybe more but Brymon and British European = 2
5. Jersey European
6. 3, Monarch, Britannia and easyjet but there maybe more
7. 2 -200 and -300
8. TU-154 and TU-134=2 probably many more
9. No idea haven’t heard about this
10. East Midlands, my local airport.
RE: Spanair’s callsign
Thanks for confirming it, saved me a trip to EMA tomorrow.
Cheers,
Danny
RE: MAN’s ATC!
I go to MAN quite reguarly and have seen a couple of Emergency landings where the fire engines rush out with sirens on and lights flashing and follow the aircraft back to the stand, usually for a faulty warning light in the cockpit or similar.
I’ve never seen anything like what you’ve described above.
Were these incidents between 1200 and 1500 when they just one runway? They are perhaps so used to landing on a seperate runway that when they use the one they forget to think about departing traffic, scarry thought
RE: Spanair’s callsign
I’ll trust good old airliner world for now, but I’ll check with my radio soon, just to be sure.
Thanks for all your help.
PS If you get confirmation then please let me know.
