The Long Marston one is G-RACA which is a Sea Prince of which there are a larger number of survivors than there are Pembrokes in the UK.
Although similar there is a short nosed Percival Prince G-AMLZ which is in danger of being scrapped if not rescued shortly at Caernarfon in North Wales. The ex CAA CAFU Dove that was with it has already gone to the scrapman. Let’s hope for better news for the Prince. It really ought to be saved. The only other short nosed Sea Prince is WF137 at Lasham.
A few Pembroke pictures below including a couple of interiors. These are the only surviving UK ones I can think of. There was another XL929/G-BNPU that was used by the Northbrook College at Shoreham until it was broken up in 2002. I think the fuselage was saved and departed on the back of a lorry Aug 2002 from Shoreham but I don’t know where it went to.
Good to hear the news of the taxying Sea Prince at Charlwood. I would like to see that next time if there is any advance warning avaiiable from anybody here.

Nice pictures, Thanks for keeping us all updated.
Is there a provisional date for the move yet. When it arrives at Manchester is it going direct to the viewing park for reassembly or is it being reassembled away from public eyes. I shall be visiting Manchester on 4th November, just wondered if it might have arrived by then.
Although it looks a little sad seeing ‘ZK being dismantled at least it is not being scrapped and will be reassembled.
Thanks again

I believe the B25 at North Weald was the one once in the Historic Aircraft Museum at Southend. Can anybody confirm this is the same one ?
Many thanks
Nice pictures. Thanks for posting on here. I first visited there in 1978 when things like the Islander had only just entered service with the Belgian Air Force/Army.
I last visited about 12 years ago and you were not allowed to take pictures. A friend of mine who had an SLR type camera had to leave it behind the desk at reception but I had a small compact camera in my pocket with which I managed to sneek a few pictures. It’s amazing to see the Caravelle in there in a museum which is in the city centre.
About time for another visit sometime.
Thanks again

Thanks for sharing the pictures. It looks like a good day. It’s always good to see them on the grass at a smaller venue. I particularly like the Twin Pin picture.
Thanks again.
Black Knight – Just sent you a private message about the slide of G-OAHB
No problem. Thanks for the bid.
Swiss Mustangs.
It is OK to use my picture of G-OAHB but it would have been nice to have been asked first.
Unless you want to buy the slide.
Nice pictures both of the scenery and the planes. Well done
The aircraft with the bent props is a Potez 840. A French built aircraft with Astazou engines I believe same as early Jetstreams. It did a wheels up at Sumburgh Mar 1981. I think there is another one in the Musee L’Air at Paris Le Bourget.
Thanks for sharing the pictures. I have been on about 4 different open days now over the years. Good value and always an interesting look round the hangars.
Thanks DHG for the info on the Hunter. Having had a quick look in WR19 it does list a Hunter XL578 as a composite on the dump. So I think this is the one.
Thanks again
Albert
Thanks for the comments on the pictures. Yes they are digital. As well as being very tightly packed in especially the Britannia G-ANCF the lighting is very difficult. As well as being dark in some areas needing a tripod and time exposures there is a strange colour cast from the lights. Lets hoping for something better when the move to Filton comes whenever that may be.
Thanks again
Ian
The query to the Hunter should have been the last picture. They came out in reverse order.
A few more pictures from Kemble yesterday and some from the Bristol Aero Collection including the Britannia nose G-ALRX that has been repainted since last time I saw it last year.
