I remember seeing it airborne at Bournemouth TVS Air shows in the late eighties but not sure when it did actually last fly.

    Any help appreciated

I found a quick scan of this one taken by me February 1998. A few years ago now but the T29 was still parked there before it was removed.

I went to the Aeroventure museum at Doncaster a few weeks ago for the first time. I live about 200 miles from there so it is not local. I thought it was a great museum and the staff were very friendly and keen to talk about the exhibits. I saw your Lightning XP706 outside the building. Good luck with your project.

Should have some pictures to post soon.

The Sea Hawk XE364/XE489 ? travelled round a bit via Southampton, Jet Heritage at Bournemouth and is now at Peter Vallances collection close to Gatwick.

The Meteor VZ638 also followed the same route and is also at the Gatwick Aviation Museum.

The yellow Harvard is now at RAFM Hendon

The B25 Mitchell is rotting away at North Weald.

I’ll probably think of a few mopre later. I visited there Nov 1980. I’ll try and find my list and pictures.

I dont know if the collection would be accessible to the public. On the day I visited I flew into Gloucester and just asked at ATC if I could go for a look. It might be possible to arrange something in advance maybe.

    Good luck

I visited Gloucester last year and below are some pictures of the aircraft in store. The Vulcan came from the Cardiff museum via Enstone. Good to see that the Javelin and Buccaneer have received some attention and paint.

    Cranwell Heritage Centre

I went to the Cranwell Heritage Centre about 5 years ago whilst in the area. There is a Jet Provost T4 XP556 outside and inside is a pod from a Vampire T11 XE946. There are displays and photographs and videos etc depicting the history of the RAF and Cranwell etc.

I think admssion was free so you cant complain if it is not what you expected.

Still worth a visit though. A picture below of the JP outside

The Belfast arrived in Brisbane on 21st September and has reportedly already operated a revenue earning flight.

Good to see it flying again and earning money.

I don’t know how far it’s got but after Malta I believe the planned route was Muscat-Colombo-Bali-Brisbane. I have seen pictures of it at Malta but dont know any further. Any updates welcomed please.

    Luton Air Fair

There is another Aviation Enthusiasts Fair organised by the same person that runs the Heathrow (Feltham) one at the Vauxhall Recreation Club, Gipsy Lane, Luton 1100-1600 on Saturday 4th October. It’s about a mile before the airport and is normally signposted on the day.

I think you will find the date is 8th November not October.

Correct me if I am wrong.
