Sheffield Terminal
I believe the terminal building at Sheffield is all still complete with the check in desks etc. All very nice and clean but then it should be as it’s only 6 years old.

Attached a view of the terminal and apron at Sheffield.
Sheffield
Sheffield City is now open to singles. I visited there last month and on the day of my visit there were several singles including a couple of Tomahawks that looked based.

Belfast survivors
9L-LDQ ex G-HLFT is the last airworthy Belfast. There are two other survivors G-BEPS used for spares at Southend and XR371 preserved at the museum at Cosford.
It would be great if they could keep one flying but it seems unlikely as Airbus have blocked any plans that might have been.
Have a look at the excellent web site http://www.concordesst.com for news and details.
An excellent web site well presented and always kept up to date. I am not connected to this web site but just thought it was one of the best for Concorde news etc .

Gatwick Herald G-CEXP
Thanks for the info David
Gatwick Herald G-CEXP
I had heard that it was going to have to move shortly. I don’t know the reason for it but I had heard that the Gatwick Aviation Museum at Charlwood might be in negotiation for it.
Any more news anybody
Duxford Hastings
Nice web site John.
Below is a picture of the Duxford Hastings taken 15th July 2003. The paint is a bit faded but otherwise I don’t think it looks too bad.
Norwich museum
Norwich is a great museum. Interesrting to see you’ve listed two Fokker F-27’s. Is this correct or is one the HP7 Herald G-ASKK of Air UK which is not listed.

First Airshows
My first airshow was to Yeovilton Navy Day Sep 1975 when there was the unfortunate incident when the pilot of the Harrier was killed when the ejector seat jettisoned when he was climbing out of the aircraft.
Second air show was IAT Greenham Common Aug 1976 which was the 25th Anniversary of the Hunter. 25 Hunters lined up together including PH-NLH and WB188.
Shorts Belfast
The Belfast at Prestwick is G-HLFT. The other one that was withdrawn May 2001 is at Southend parked amongst the other disused aircraft without engines and many other parts missing registered G-BEPS.
There was another one which last flew in 1992 that was scrapped at Southend about three years ago which was registered G-BFYU.
