John
I was stood on the fenceline taking pictures wearing a green coat, red/white/black golf umbrella and a using a Canon EOS20D and am about 6ft 5 tall.
A great day out despite the weather. Thanks to all those who organised the event.

More pictures Part 2
Two aerial pictures taken in 2004 and 2005. EGKC was the ICAO airfield designator. I am not sure when it closed but there used to be an Aztec
G-BCRP based there in the 80’s and LEC also had a BN2 Islander G-BLEC sometime later.
The Argosy looks great now. After many years outside it needed some paint. I was there a few weeks ago when just some of the white areas had been done. With the other attention to detail of painting the engines and undercarriage it was looking good then but that picture above with the red done it looks even better.
Well done to all at the MAM with all of their exhibits.
John Travolta’s B707 N707JT in Qantas colours has been at Stansted fo the last few days but departed Saturday afternoon.
Thanks for posting the pictures. Good to see some of them from a few years ago. A lot of the aircraft pictured are now elsewhere around the country.
G-HUEY as seen at Southend on Friday 16th March about lunchtime
The Argosy looks a whole lot better already with just a few bits painted. As mentioned above the MAM does a great job with most of the exhibits outside. There are some real tidy aircraft there that have been painted in recent years.
Well done to all involved. A great effort. Keep up the good work.
I have a slide taken at Greenham Common or Abingdon sometime in the late seventies which I shall try and find for you. It may take a few days.
It was still there in the Bournemouth Aviation Museum hangar about two weeks ago. I don’t think it has flown for some time but G-INFO still gives the CoA current until Sep 2007.
Taken at the Northolt Photocall day last June.
I have seen the book in the shops and I agree with Damien. Pretty awful. What a waste of a Concorde book.
Fantastic pictures Daniel. Thanks for posting.
Very nice pictures A330Crazy. It certainly was a great day weatherwise. I must have only been stood a few feet away from you on the grass at Myrtle Avenue taking those shots.
Here’s a few of mine from the same day

Nice pictures Olympus but also to add to the discussion I think whatever colour scheme is decided it should be appropiate to a 700 series aircraft not an 800 as in your pictures.
Just my thoughts
