I seemed to have some trouble loading images as thumbnails on any thread. I am not sure why. Is my quota full. I have tried deleting some but still the same problem.

The Philippines registered Belfast pictured is ex 9L-LDQ/G-HLFT not G-BEPS which is still at Southend. I had a flight on G-HLFT in April 2000 when still flying for Heavylift UK. One of my best flights ever.

Great news. Good luck with your project. It will be great to hear the sound of running Darts.

Well done to the MAM as well.

Attached is a shot taken at Perth from 1986. Credit to a friend of mine Peter J Bish for the picture.

That looks like G-AOHL which was in basic BA colours and very faded titles of BAF Cabin Service Trainer.

There was a Sea Vixen displayed on the old airfield estate in front of a carpet store in Christchurch. It was damaged by vandals, repaired and moved to the museum at Tangmere about 5 years ago. It was there at Christchurch for about 15 years. Without checking I think the serial was XJ580.

In about 1976 there was a Whirlwind helicopter on the opposite side of the road in the car park of the Somerford hotel. This moved away during the late seventies. Without looking at my books which are at home I am not sure of the serial. I can find out later this afternoon if you are really interested.

Does anybody have a web site or URL for surviving B-17’s.

Also does anybody know the current identity/status of G-FORT that was once owned by Doug Arnold at Blackbushe in 1985.

    Many thanks for any help.

The last ever Comet flight was 31st October 1997 when XS235/G-CPDA Canopus flew from Boscombe Down to Bruntingthorpe.

It was G-BDIT. Attached some pictures of it being scrapped in May 1984.
