Don’t forget you can fly in. You will need PPR.
Well Matthew shouldn’t have changed to rondels to give me a better target 🙂
PS Particularly like first and last images. If you are happy for us to have hi res copies we can use them for credited use for team publicity.
If you happen to be on the NW side of Southampton around 14:30, look to the skies. Farewell Doug.
Expanding on our Facebook Page post, all the kind messages Liz is receiving on Doug’s behalf really are having a postive effect on her and the family. As those who have met Doug & Liz know, they have been a great team since meeting at the end of WW2 and if anyone can pull through this, they will. Thank you for all your kind wishes.
FT391 is alive and well and we operate her from Goodwood.
A couple more from ‘Piece of Cake’ at DX on 20th May.
I wonder if anybody captured AR213 in its PoC markings. It took off when I was but a mile short of Duxford.

Mark. not seen the top picture with Ray before but have a few like the lower one. Anyone any more?
Duxford Friday 13th May 1988:
It’s time for another look in the archive, and here are some pictures by Andy Robinson from a Duxford visit exactly 25 years ago today.
Filming was underway for the TV series ‘Piece Of Cake’, involving Spitfires G-ASJV / MH434::Many thanks to Andy for use of his pictures.
David/Andy, like those shots. If you have any which show more of our Harvard which was used as a camera ship in the dog fights, I would appreciated them. BN belonged to Mark and Tudor at that time.
DCW, You deserve a medal for all the excellent news and superb photographs of Duxford. How about it Duxford please recognise DCWs huge contribution in recording warbirds at Duxford.
I agree, this is a much appreciated contribution.
They were very happy with the F86A. We landed for a crew change for one of their practices(nice shot showing both aircraft) The T28 is flying a bit after the annual to get three pilots current for the season.
It was pretty nippy the day before with the easterly wind but managed to get some display practices in.
PS only just spotted Brian’s pics.
Oh OK, they never did find that prop I believe. Tracey and I should be out to play with the Ryan’s some time during practice week, runway permitting.
Cygnet is always tricky to start but much easier now that the prop is attached again!
A reward fund is being pledged for the prosecution of the lowlifes who did this – see flyer forum
Good to see the Staggerwing got there. I spent 4 years of my life rebuilding that plane and its great to see it flying around the world.
The Staggerwing came first and the owner was at the prize giving to collect his award.
